I'll just be surprised at the end of the day if the academics don't sway him back to OSU. I think his playing time would be similar at both schools, OSU is just a much easier path academically for him.

If I'm wrong, good for him in deciding to challenge himself!

Being close with Tae has to help a little there. Tae was a guy who "needed help" early in his recruitment, did the work and now is doing just fine. Have to think that he's a good example of how it can work out for anyone who makes an effort.

Also, doesnt ND graduate basically every football player that stays the requisite amount of time? I don't remember who it was, but I was listening to some all-time Irish great talk about why he picked ND and he said "well they graduated 99% of their players, and I knew I wasn't in the bottom 1%." I always thought that was a funny point considering that everyone acts like ND is an academic minefield. The numbers show that if you can get into ND as a player, you're probably going to be well taken care of.

Exactly, Tae was/is not a "profile" fit in the slightest and the dude is thriving here. Show up and put in some effort and you'll make it. They're not making them take organic chemistry and advanced calculus lol

Is PutUp actually gonna get his wish?? Both these guys really seem like outside guys
Perhaps they're thinking about Gray moving to NB?

Sanders seems like a move to improve the 2027 roster to backfill some of the departures (Hobbs, Cree).

I thought they'd take one, rather than both and hold out for Snowden.

Very interesting if they do take both. Huge injection of long, versatile talent.
Looking at McKinney's attributes/tape and with Mickens smoothing out his technique; I feel like he's got a pretty good chance to be starting opposite Moore on the outside.

They can’t land Sanders and McKinney without someone (Sanders, McKinney, Moore, Gray) being told they are playing nickel. I just don’t see it though in any of them.

ND could also have performance-based incentives in the contracts, yes? I won't speculate on contracts because I don't like guessing with so little data.

Excited to see how this day plays out just so we can get back to off-season discussion.
No, incentive based contracts are not allowed in college for players.

Maybe they think one can play nickel? I’m always of the opinion, bring in talent and let it sort itself out. Between Moore, Gray, Golden, McKinnie, Sanders, Zachery…you have some legit talent. And that’s not even with Pouncey, Adams and Smith!

Matt Freeman to throw a wet blanket, saying Quincy is a big get if healthy, which is a concern.

Does anyone know the nature of his injury? Are we walking ACL or Achilles? If not I don't see why he wouldn't be a great prospect given the youth and early schedule is favorable.

Isn't there a known injury which will keep him out of spring ball?

Freeman embarrassed him, and every other beat guy, when they were claiming Minchey was QB1. Now he has to shit on every portal addition ND gets. But Cincinnati had a GREAT portal season!

I looked it up, OSU was very secretive about his injury all year. He missed several games and the playoffs, but they never named the specific injury. I would have to assume ND has done their research here, and if they’re still pursuing him (especially at the rumored cost), they are comfortable with it

What are you talking about? I keep hearing we have no DTs. That means we can have extra DBs on the field.

Call this cope, but these underclassmen like porter and sanders possibly committing makes me feel better about Marcus being here past next year
Nah he's just gonna take them to Ohio State with him. (am I bedwetting right?)
