This is what I was saying at the time about the bureaucracy and sand in the gears being a problem. My understanding is that he absolutely could've gotten in but no one is sitting around to "wait and see" if admissions will let you in when other places are saying "sign here". You're going to take the comparable offer bird-in-hand.

I think you’re selling Logan Sáldate and Kaydon Finley short. No way are they going to let Graham and Burress be the backups at both Field and Slot. I think your Boundary and Field look right, but Sáldate and Findley backup Greathouse at slot. And that’s about as good a top 9 WR crew ND would have in as long as I can remember.

If we truly do have Graham and Porter (which would be really exciting to be taking OSU's WRs), it makes sense that they want to wait to announce this until the kids are back on campus. You have to imagine that the WR room will have some opinions on it and this avoids agents contacting kids over break to get them to enter the portal and puts control back with the staff to talk to them directly as soon as the news comes out.

I'm not saying all these uncommited DTs are ND targets but it seems at this point, the top DTs ND is and/or could be going after are:

James Smith ('bama) - Visited Friday as well as other schools
Frances Brewu (Pitt) - Visited ND this past week and OSU (is perceived to be his current lean) and others
Ikenna Ezeogu (ISU) - Highly-touted starter who is dead quiet; a younger DT who went to portal at same timeimmed. committed to PSU, but no visits are showing up for this guy - Maybe he's considering staying at ISU for his final year, but his apparent lack of activity is interesting
CJ Mims (NC) - Just entered; I'm sure he'll be in high demand and is likely lining up visits very soon
Tunmise Adeleye (UNLV) - Probably would never work for ND academically as he's looking for his 5th school in 5 years (TAMU, MSU, Texas State, UNLV); is set to visit SU and MSU as of now

Of course, the staff may have 1-2 DTs sealed up who haven't even announced their portal entry yet and are in stealth mode.

Just a bit of perspective here.. Bc I’ve been freaking out about DL too.

Indiana’s starting interior DL is comprised of:

NT - Tyrique Tucker, RS JR, who went UNRANKED as a prospect out of HS & was the 94th DT in the portal from Western Kentucky.

DY - Mario Landino, SO, who was the 265th ranked DT out of HS..

And just for shits & giggles.. DE Mikail Kamara was also UNRANKED out of HS & the 99th DL in the portal. The other DE, Daniel Ndukwe? 118th edge rusher out of HS.

What the fuck is going on in Bloomington? They’re either the greatest talent developers in the history of football or they know every single play before it happens.. bc that is just fucking insane.

We’re over here screaming about our DL for next year that even untouched is, on paper, infinitely better than theirs 😂
