The top of their DT board is plain as day:

- Wake DT, immediately tried to get on campus, couldn't
- UCF DT, immediately tried to get on campus, couldn't
- PSU DT, got on campus, seems like TN has the momentum
- Pitt DT, getting on campus today, we'll see

Need 2 minimum.

It would be prudent for the staff to try and bring through everyone they have interest in, but that doesnt in any way reveal to us the heirarchy of their board.
Its fair to say they were not successful yet on those who visitied and they did not get everyone on campus they tried to. It is not fair to say they have missed on their top of board targets yet, because we do not know who that would be.
Everybody is just making assumptions so far based on what little information we have.

This isn't recruiting high schoolers. This the transfer portal. I'd agree with your perspective if this were the former. But with the portal, it's hard and fast right out of the gate to get your guys. If a guy gets brought in for a visit, he's considered a top target.

i get it not ideal, but at least we have a few months before needing to totally panic about kicker. My rare glass half full mentality is that if Schmidt can figure it out, then we have a solid kicker for 3 years.

Graham is pretty fast but he ran 4.50, 4.53 at the same camp Cam Williams ran 4.44 and 4.46. He ran 4.48 while at O$U, and he would get smoked by the likes of incoming FR Robinson, Frazier. I"d guess in the mid 4.4s would put him in the Saldate/Faison range but well behind both FR and Cam.

Give me 4.5 and good enough to play at Ohio State vs 4.44 and going into his 3rd year and not being talked about getting playing time.

Which is a good reminder that there are good and bad uses of money and without insight into how much money these players are getting we’re really not in a position to evaluate the staff’s performance.

Refusing to overpay for these guys (or to pay them to get on to campus first lol) is good.
