I can’t believe this Vandy team went 10-2 in the SEC and they got 5 teams into the playoffs.

I’m not sure anything can be done about the oversized conferences creating uneven conference schedules, but a ton of fake 10-2 teams is a problem.
How is the SEC doing in bowl games so far? Vandy lost any argument they thought they could make to get into the playoffs. Not sure anyone sat out. Iowa looked like the more solid team too to bottom and more physical. I’ll give it to the little man Pavia. He is a gamer but a douche.

Conferences need to go back to having divisions. It at least allows for a majority of the same teams to play each other and you have a good idea of who's who. Go back to big ten East and west especially with what they have done having multiple west coast teams and slide Indiana into that division it is split pretty evenly. Sec with adding Oklahoma and texas you can move LSU or bama to the eastern division

Great example why we need MORE not less OOC games. The 9 game conference schedules are awful by themselves, but even worse now that a committee has to pick 12 teams with limited cross conference competition.
Exactly.

Any media person with a brain would realize ND serves a great purpose by playing across 4-6 conferences a year as a barometer.

Oh it goes much deeper than that:

Missouri was ranked for 8 weeks, they didn’t beat a team over .500 all year

Tennessee was ranked the entire season, they didn’t beat a team over .500 all year either

They were used as cannon fodder to prop up other teams

Yeah, that is the whole function of those sort of "middle class" SEC teams: to be Big Wins for the top dogs. Part of Alabama's "gauntlet" we had to hear so much about was beating Missouri, Tennessee, and Vandy. Missouri and Tennessee didn't beat any P4 teams over .500 and Vandy's claim to fame was beating Tennessee and Missouri. It's a pyramid scheme designed to prop up the SEC.

Nd's value as a barometer is limited when they get stuck with ass teams from said conferences though

Has anyone else actually followed through with a bowl boycott? I watched some of the playoffs at a bar, but have watched under 3 min of all other bowls with zero minutes on my home TV. Just curious if anyone else tuned out. From what I'm hearing..... I haven't missed anything.
Yup. Haven’t watched a game. I’ve checked the stats after and that’s about it.

It’s been freeing. Lots of family time.

Haven’t tuned any device in my name to a single bowl or cfp content. Have been in some public places with games on and caught some incidental glimpses.

I don't boycott, I make zero effort. Right now I am on a 2.5 hr bus ride with nothing to do except refresh my cell phone.

I will likely watch the fourth quarter of the playoffs I am near the TV with nothing else to do.

Obsessed with the SEC.
I will admit I am a little. Any time you see corruption and greed cheat and swindle someone or something you care about, it is natural to have somewhat of an "obsession" of seeing the corruption be defeated and not being allowed to be corrupt anymore. Anyone with a moral compass would be somewhat "obsessed" with the corruption until it was corrected.

Seems like a little jealousy over the SEC getting 13 national titles over the last 20 years.

Chat - is OSU overrated? They scored like 12 ppg in their two games against decent teams

Frustration with the corruption and fraud that created the conditions for a cluster of mediocre programs to prosper at the expense of the rule-abiding.
