Here's what they should actually do:
Play the big Bowl Games at the start of the season, Week 0. Invite big time brands and pay them a bunch of money. Preserves OOC big matchups and you get full teams playing in meaningful games.
For example, have Rose Bowl invite last year's Big Ten champ + PAC 12 champ (oops j/k USC killed that conference) for a Week 0 game. Have Sugar Bowl invite reigning SEC champ + whoever. And on and on. Would be epic. Then play all your playoff games on campus until the semifinals, and do neutral site games at that point.
I think a fair number of older or lazy people have had trouble adjusting the meaning of 10-2 in super conferences. These things aren't conferences anymore. A conference historically means you play everyone or almost everyone in the conference and determine the best of the bunch and send them to a bowl game. There could be few, if any complaints about it.I can’t believe this Vandy team went 10-2 in the SEC and they got 5 teams into the playoffs.
I’m not sure anything can be done about the oversized conferences creating uneven conference schedules, but a ton of fake 10-2 teams is a problem.

Classic reshaping of my point. Let's be better in 2026? Just better, ok?I don’t remember when football was ever played without making money.
Mildly off topic, but DYK Tennessee hasn’t beaten anyone with a winning record outside the state of Tennessee in two seasons?I think most people (including on the committee) knew the SEC was middling this year. They weren't put in because they were good, they were put it because of $$$$$.
Playoffs or bust..... Might as well just start playoffs the week after bracket is setLove the pan out to a completely empty upper deck at this game.
bracket set sunday - games on Saturday. Easy peasy.Playoffs or bust..... Might as well just start playoffs the week after bracket is set

When did you realize that college football was a money making enterprise. Which form of "football" is not a money making enterprise.Classic reshaping of my point. Let's be better in 2026? Just better, ok?
He figured out how to directly respond to your previous message, that's progress! When did you realize that college football was a money making enterprise. Which form of "football" is not a money making enterprise.
This is the most words you've used this year. Glad you've found your voice.
What a fantastic idea. I hope this is actually being discussed somewhere. Here's what they should actually do:
