As much as I like Clark Lea, watching Pavia run around like a chicken with his head cut off every play is great. Getting hit a bunch

Here's what they should actually do:

Play the big Bowl Games at the start of the season, Week 0. Invite big time brands and pay them a bunch of money. Preserves OOC big matchups and you get full teams playing in meaningful games.

For example, have Rose Bowl invite last year's Big Ten champ + PAC 12 champ (oops j/k USC killed that conference) for a Week 0 game. Have Sugar Bowl invite reigning SEC champ + whoever. And on and on. Would be epic. Then play all your playoff games on campus until the semifinals, and do neutral site games at that point.

I would have been all for this but now I can't unsee these $1M salary bowl execs for at best part time glad handing work. Burn them to the ground and play more games on campus. Neutral sites are for pussies.

We’ve seen this time and time again though. Every year the SEC gets exposed in these bowl games and for a minute people realize the conference was overrated all year long. Then next fall the same shit will happen again and the ESPN talking heads take a break from sucking eachother’s dicks to say “you know Tennessee and Missouri were really great ranked wins for Alabama”

I can’t believe this Vandy team went 10-2 in the SEC and they got 5 teams into the playoffs.

I’m not sure anything can be done about the oversized conferences creating uneven conference schedules, but a ton of fake 10-2 teams is a problem.
I think a fair number of older or lazy people have had trouble adjusting the meaning of 10-2 in super conferences. These things aren't conferences anymore. A conference historically means you play everyone or almost everyone in the conference and determine the best of the bunch and send them to a bowl game. There could be few, if any complaints about it.

Even in the 12-team SEC and Big 12, you played 8 of 11 available opponents and the imbalance could be addressed either by head to head or the championship game.

I think most people (including on the committee) knew the SEC was middling this year. They weren't put in because they were good, they were put it because of $$$$$.
Mildly off topic, but DYK Tennessee hasn’t beaten anyone with a winning record outside the state of Tennessee in two seasons?

Classic reshaping of my point. Let's be better in 2026? Just better, ok?
When did you realize that college football was a money making enterprise. Which form of "football" is not a money making enterprise.

This is the most words you've used this year. Glad you've found your voice.

Might need to just start recruiting whoever Iowa does at kicker and punter. Usually just overall consistently pretty good

What a fantastic idea. I hope this is actually being discussed somewhere.

Michigan and Texas look about the same - same record - Texas is ranked 5 spots higher. This gap is just based on myth.

The vaunted Texas defense has given up 17 points to Michigan already?

We all know how badly Michigan sucks. Sheesh, it is sad how bad the SEC is this year. Vandy and Texas were playing better than Ole Miss, Oklahoma, and Alabama at years end. Just sad. ND got robbed. Question is, do people remember this or overinflate the SEC at the beginning of the year again?
