does the hiring freeze effect this at all? I’m guessing that MF wants more staffing with his extension, would the hiring freeze mess with this and possibly causing the hold up?

I’m gonna reiterate the thing I reiterate every offseason when we’re wetting our beds about potentially needing a new head coach…

Urban Meyer would never cut it at ND. He’d have a medical episode the first time the admissions office sends him an email to ask if he actually knows how the process works at ND.

He’d have another fake heart attack when he realizes MAC teams gain super powers when they play in South Bend.

He’d have a REAL heart attack when he realizes the “choose hard” thing that MFMF always talks about isn’t a bluff.


The reason Marcus Freeman is perfect for ND in a way that the guys before him weren’t is because he is just a genuinely good dude, that knows how to interact with other humans without being fake. He is a charismatic recruiter and leader in a way that capitalizes on the challenges of ND, rather than letting them be a weight like BK did. He is uniquely “designed” in how he operates and carries himself as it pertains to what resonates at ND, which makes him the perfect guy to have taken the reins as soon as the portal and NIL became the new normal.

He’s a “shake down the Thunder, but in a way that people ACTUALLY buy” kind of guy.

Urban is also a piece of crap human who would cause the program to collapse the first time we lose a game. Ohio State let him get away with a lot of BS because he won. The Jaguars stint showed his true colors. One of the few coaches I wouldn’t let my kids play for.

Prister said today in his Thursday Thoughts that ND needs to get this extension done and signed before it hinders portal recruiting (which has already begun unofficially).
