I’d say Burnham over Young is more likely of the “surprise” transfer. He’ll have his degree, likely doesn’t have an NFL future, and will get overpaid somewhere for more snaps.

I don’t think either are that likely, but I think it makes more sense about Burnham than Young outside of just Young being a legacy.

We didn’t know, but it was likely going to happen. Injuries really robbed him of a career. He has one year left and is stuck, at best, running with the three’s next season.

Just not the market ND should be in for a transfer RB.

I'd take half of that to go to ND. They offer an easier schedule, recent success and a better all around program.

So what does the RB pool look like currently. I really feel like we should go big fish hunting in the portal or swing for the fences. If nothing sticks then go with what we have in house. I think Ayneas is good, but I don't hate the idea of brining one in.

I think both guys going pro all but solidifies he's staying. He'll go into spring as RB1 if nobody else comes in thru the portal

Ayneas is a nice asset, but not a real game breaker. I think Javian Osborne steps on campus as most natural RB on the roster , hopefully can have an impact like freshman Bo Jackson at Ohio state this year after Henderson/judkins led them to a title

At this point any RB leaving ND would only be because ND didn't want or prioritize them. Williams, Young, James, and the freshman will all have a chance to secure a role in a very potent offense next year.
