This one is much more about the award being in all but the most extraordinary circumstances a quarterback award and less about anti ND bias.

That's why I put "good" in quotes. He might be severely overrated. But "mid" is a pretty big stretch. He did have a good year. It was also certainly not heisman worthy at all. He can be unworthy and also not completely suck at the same time. I will argue to my death that love deserved it. But two things can be true at the same time. The best player just didn't win.
