Oklahoma is worse than all 3.And to add to this:
The committee and talking heads made the entire subject about Miami v Notre Dame. The reality is it should have been Miami AND Notre Dame v Alabama.
But they wouldn’t ever do that.
Does not making the playoff hurt us at all with 2027 recruiting?
That’s not a good comment because if Notre Dame did get in, they would’ve been in at number nine or 10 which is past five or six and we definitely had a shot this year to be crowned champion. All this pissed-offedness said though, I really just want a playoff to crown a champion. I don't particularly care about any team getting in past like 5 or 6.
ND and Texas should reject their bowl games and set up their own game in a neutral site.
Get together with Texas and create the FuckESPN bowl and play in it.
The problem is that nobody lost. The way the last few weeks of the season unfolded with ZERO upsets was basically a mathematical impossibility and the only path that could have gotten us into this situation. By all rights Notre Dame and Miami should have both been in.I would agree with you if they weren't actively campaigning against ND for the past 5 weeks all the way up until the very last possible second. Every single broadcast included the announcers pontificating about "head to head." I didn't watch it, but I can GODDAMN guarantee that the MAC championship had the announcers going on and on about how Miami should be in.
ESPN is the corporate owners of the SEC and have a massive financial stake in the ACC. Their constant clamoring for Miami and the PR campaign about the "bonus game" this morning show that. They have no piece of ND. They get ratings from us, but they will always get ratings.
It doesn’t take much, just refresh the talking points in the production meeting. That’s it.You guys are vastly overestimating the degree of coordination between the business people and the on-air talent, and between ESPN and the Committee.
Because he went to BamaHow does Rece Davis not push Yurachek on Alabama at #9?!
That’s not a good comment because if Notre Dame did get in, they would’ve been in at number nine or 10 which is past five or six and we definitely have a shot this year to be crowned champion.
Eh...I wouldn't even waste the time...just leave. Join the Big East in all other sports and wash your hands of that shit league. If nd is going to continue with this acc bullshit they need to write something in that if the acc champion isn't ranked in the top 20 but nd is they get their spot
The biggest reason is they (ACC/Miami) directly attacked us and did not approach the narrative from the SEC perspective you are rightfully stating. They also have direct ties to ESPN and their broadcast bias is disgustingly horrid. The Stanford coverage is the most recent evidence. Plus, their reffing crews are utterly terrible, and on and on.I'm not sure why you guys are mad at the ACC. The SEC is SO clearly overrepresented, it's crazy. None of their teams are that good this year. ND (and Miami) should easily be in over Alabama and Oklahoma.
It's much worse than last year and last year also had some dud matchupsAm I the only one that thinks these playoff games are dog shit? Tulane and ole Miss already played. Same for bama/oklahoma. Oregon and jmu? Have fun with that crap pile
I want to claim the 93 title. Who is going to stop us? Auburn just decided this year to claim 7 extra titles. Fuck it. Head to head is the only data point in college football.ND should just claim the Natty this year. This sport is broken thanks to the ESPN monopoly so fuck em.
Kind of hard when the SEC doesn't call tackle as a hold on a game winning touch down.Yes, they have a shot, but, and I said this before on here, ND can really only blame themselves for leaving it up to these chucklefucks on the committee. Don't lose the 2 games you lost but shouldn't have.
I'm surprised they didn't get in, but they kind of left it to chance.
We don't need sixteen. Need the committee to do a better job.And this is why we need 16 teams. Some years there could be a theoretical team ranked 17 that could have put a run together, but this year there was a team with the 3rd highest betting odds who got left out.
The ACC isn't a P4 conference. That's the elephant in the room. They needed an ACC team in they weren't going to exclude a power 5 team
