And Bama fans keep pointing to SMU last year, but SMU had 1 loss going into that game and they lost on a very flukey sequence of events at the end of the game. And I think going into that game SMU was ranked 6th, much different. Bama was a bubble team with two losses (including one terrible loss) and just got housed in such a way that it basically negates their biggest win of the year.

1. Sayin doesn't have the athleticism of Howard
2. No Judkins/Henderson
3. No Egbuka
4. OL isn't good enough to cover up these losses

Their defense is better than last year and they're an elite team overall but they aren't quite as explosive / multifaceted on offense and can be contained by anyone with good pass rush + coverage.

Yeah it's really just a question of horse trading and other bias in the room. This ACCCG looks like JV football relative to the Big Ten game just a total lack of talent for both teams.

Honestly IU got incredibly lucky to hire a mid 60s year old small college coach and he’s caught lightening in a bottle.
