That’s pretty good in a championship, especially at that level of play in Florida.

His biggest critique is completion percentage. Last 4 games is (71/102) which is 69.6%

He has some real clunker games around 40, 50% that bring his season averages (what the services point towards) down. Would be curious to discern what happened in those games. Lot of throw aways or is he legitimately inaccurate for an entire game?

I believe those “inaccurate” games came early part of the season when the OL play was pretty brutal. The lack of protection led to heavy pressures with little time to throw and many more 3rd and long plays.

I think Grubbs is gonna be a great QB. If he’s got a great OL and protection he should be fine and he might have the best OL ND’s ever had blocking for him. Will black at LT, Grayson Mckeough at RT, Herron at Center , Augustine at Guard and Tyler Merrill at Guard

Part of the craziness is that Vero Beach elected to take a safety with 12 seconds left instead of punting. They were up by 8 points at the time.

I'd give more credit to #22 that came up to him and got the ball. They both deserve credit though.

Dude just won a state title with a suspect oline and an average group of skill players. Hope this puts some of the angst behind the podcast scouts to rest. Grubbs is going to be fine.

Not the best throw in the world but he lead his team to their first ever 7a championship. That’s impressive, we saw what they did last game. His rankings might not be there but the young man can ball.
