My buddy thinks they will move Miami to 11 after BYU loses, which puts them next to us and "then they HAVE to go with the H2H and move them to 10 ahead of us."

I am not so sure. I still feel like they would have just moved them ahead of us this week.

Plus, if Bama loses to Georgia they could flip us with them and put us back to to #9 to avoid that scenario.

Because if BYU loses then Miami moves up to 11 and then they can swap us, or something. Seems plausible tbh.
That doesn't make sense though - they're moving teams around already to ensure future results, not based on actual quality. If they knew no matter what that we wouldn't make it, they'd have jumped Miami ahead of us and BYU already - BYU is win and in so it doesn't matter if they're above/behind Miami.

We got double fucked by Navy -- who is 23 in the polls and better than Tulane -- being unranked somehow. Like it's very clear what is happening.
The conspiracy theory doesn't even make sense. If they were just dick riding for TV ratings, that would benefit is, not hurt us.

He just said the Bama - ND debate has been one of the closest in the last two years. Something I don’t believe was mentioned prior to today
Ok so if it's that close, and Bama takes a big L to UGA, surely we'd jump them, right? Or will that comment just get buried when they lose next week and we end up on the outside looking in because "idle teams can move" meaning "Miami can jump ND"

First thing I've heard that actually concerns me. Makes no sense and actually makes me suspicious that the plan was to leave us out all along and this has been a ratings game to keep eyeballs on this dog and pony show.
Could be. But, BYU and Bama both playing is intriguing. If both lose in similar fashion, both would logically move or not move. Would be really eye opening if both lost and only BYU moved down.
