Yeah had to skim it. Heartbreaking. CJ is very mature. Chad sounds like an awesome kid. RIP.I couldn’t read it. I just knew it would make me break down.

100 Years of Love in 5 Years of Life | By CJ Carr
After watching him be so tough, my context of what is truly hard is very different.www.theplayerstribune.com
Just a warning it is a hard read...
Prayers for your wife's family. Thanks for sharing @KMac151993. My wife's niece passed away from DIPG when she was 8. She would be a JR in high school this year. The same HS that I now teach and coach football at. It was extremely hard on her and her family and still is during the holidays and around the time of her birthday. My wife and I have 2 daughters, age 3 and 2 (our oldest is named after our niece). I really can't imagine nor fathom what my wife and her family went through. We were just at the Defeat DIPG Gala a couple of weeks ago and they gave an overview of how research and treatment have been improving for this terrible cancer. There has been some recent positive breakthroughs in regards to treatment and clinical testing, thank God. Like CJ, there are times where my wife is reminded of funny memories of her niece when our daughters do something silly or laugh.
Really pulling for CJ to succeed more than ever now.

read while watching my 19 month old son. Had to stop half way to play with himNot reading it. I have 4 very young kids, can't do it
Its an amazing read and I have tears rolling down my face at work. Had to close the door to my office. God bless the Carr family and Chad... and Tootie☘️ Thank you KMac!Can’t decide if I should read or not. I already carry so much fear of what to could happen to my son at being 10 months and already dealt with enough for a lifetime.
And 9.6 yards per attempt.Final regular season stats:
195/293 (66.5%), 2741 yards, 27 TD (3 rush), 6 INT
Plenty of developing left to do, but a solid debut season.
Comparable stats to "Heisman" Mendoza despite sitting out probably 5 quarters of actionFinal regular season stats:

You mean Buchner doesn’t stand a chance against Hartman.I think the reporting around the QB competition this summer may have been exaggerated.

Impressive stats for a freshman on the field, 1 int. every 2 games. Best passing QB since Clausen.Final regular season stats:

1000% but you have to love the demeanor and calm leadership from a first year starter especially when none of us knew what we were in store for. I’m so glad he is our leader and is Irish☘️He had a great year but there’s def room for improvement I wanna see how he looks against an Ohio State defense or Georgia or Bama.
It’s hard to shine as a star QB when you possess the backfield we do. He made mistakes as he should as a first year guy. He will learn and will be our leader.Obviously my expectations for him were ridiculously high and unfair, but I was a little disappointed in his season. That's a me problem though.
Still really excited for the growth and look forward to seeing just how good he gets.
Out of curiosity, was your disappointment in the hard #s or how he looked?Obviously my expectations for him were ridiculously high and unfair, but I was a little disappointed in his season. That's a me problem though.

His completion % was a little low for what I expected, but I thought he was way ahead of schedule at the line of scrimmage.
