I grew up on Eddie's self-titled 1982 album with, "Baby, why you got yo dick in the sink?" First bit was titled "Faggots." Somehow, he managed to not get retroactively cancelled.

Eh... he apologized for that stuff back in the 90s.... people can learn from their mistakes.

I'm scared to guess of what the mascot will look like.

It's not what you think. It's just Nick Chubb roaming the sideline.
The real nightmare is if that drunk co-ed from the 2017 game shows up at games "CHUBBY CHUBB CHUUUBBBBB!" All...game...long. Even when it was Sony Michel in there. Still have nightmares.

No clue where to put this,… so, this thread fits well enough,… but would anyone think it’s odd if a user here on IE who created their profile ten years ago, who has never once posted randomly started ‘following’ you today???

I’d guess it could be just an accidental click from a phone and they don’t even realize they followed you.

I’m a freshman lineman I’m about 5’9 and weigh 165 with the goal of being above 200 by the start of next year, any tips. I play in NY in Class D.

Do you have a strength program your team follows right now? And how much experience do you have in the weight room?

We just finished the season, but my one of my coaches is hosting personal fitness club which is working out every day so I plan on going to that. I’m new to the weight room, but I’ve gotten to many workouts in that timespan.

So, for the end of semester, I let my TAs take over half of a class session in the last week or two to do whatever they wish as a thank-you activity or speech or whatever to the students. They always look forward to it. One of my current TAs chose the most diabolical, hate-filled activity this semester. Putting them in groups and then having each group sing show tunes to get out of the pop quiz that currently unbeknownst to them does not in fact exist. I’m dying watching the torment.

Not an issue at all, gotta start somewhere. It's probably dated but there's a book called Getting Stronger by Bill Pearl that helped me out when I was a young lad. It's more of an encyclopedia than a cover to cover read, so you may find it useful to keep around as a reference.

Follow the plan laid out by the coach who is willing to help out, and thank him for his time.

Focus on your legs and back when trying to gain weight - they’re the largest muscle groups and the foundation of your strength, especially your legs. Squats, deadlifts and power cleans is what we did back in teh day but that's probably changed.

If you have access to a weighted sled, use it. It is a miserable bitch but my suggestion is to grab a couple teammates and finish your workouts on it. Learn to enjoy the misery together - compete, make it fun, and push that thing all offseason. We didn’t have them when I was younger, but did some workouts with it in my late 20s, and it’s an absolutely grueling workout that mimics what you’ll be doing on the field.

Keep in mind you’re gaining weight for football, not to be a bodybuilder or powerlifter. You need to maintain your speed/mobility as you get bigger. A lot of young players, myself included, get so locked in on the number on the scale that they lose sight of mobility. If you’re going to be on the smaller side, you have to be strong AND quick.

Push yourself hard, stay positive and have fun. Good luck!

Everything you said here reaffirms my decision to play golf instead of football in high school!

I got a few discounts on Amazon Prime. I didn't get anything major, just some clothes, so I don't know if TVs were priced at deal of the century levels or not.

With the “new lower standards with HR” it is hard sometimes to be in a management position. Shew sometimes I just want to drink when I get home.

Fortunately I have a pretty good staff. My "Michigan guy" is on the cusp of Gen Z and Millennial and you can tell it. We got about 4 inches of snow yesterday and last night. This morning he sends me an email telling me he has a fever and feels bad so he's taking the day off. I started chuckling to myself, because he did the same thing back in January. Is Snow Flu a thing? lol

Hopefully he stays safe on the slopes or that Snow Flu could turn into a broken leg.

It's the best night of the year. Taylor University's Silent Night. One of the wildest traditions in sports.

Bottom link is for the live stream tonight if anyone wants to watch.
