Feel like they'd just report he was opting out if that was the case. IIRC with Mickey last year they just came out and said it.
Do we know what's going on here? The ND media has been saying that it is an injury. He was not dressed yesterday, though.
I’m not sure. And I hope he stays and that it really is a nagging injury…it’s just awful suspicious.Where would he go? Texas? I would say ND's QB/passing situation is pretty good moving forward. OSU manages to keep multiple WRs who would be the #1 guy somewhere else.
Yep. When Mickey left mid-season last year he was watching the games from the student section, not wearing his jersey on the sidelines. If he was sitting out, he wouldn’t be on the team
Plain and simple
I mean you can if you want, I can’t see him being around the team if he was leaving. I think the 4 games is playing into it because he comes back and tweaks his hammy again he’s used up a year.Ruled out again this week. Is it time to be concerned about his future with ND?
I wonder if ND sits him out till playoffs and that gives him an option for two more yearsI mean you can if you want, I can’t see him being around the team if he was leaving. I think the 4 games is playing into it because he comes back and tweaks his hammy again he’s used up a year.
Would be ideal to 10-2 with these two redshirting, play when it matters in the playoffs and get an extra year with them.II pod made it seem like a redshirt for him and Smith were possible

Easier said than done for multiple reasons.

Smith could play in 1 more game, Greathouse 2.Was wondering that with Smith. Glad someone said it
Greathouse has played in 4 games. The II pod misspoke.Smith could play in 1 more game, Greathouse 2.
BS, I'll take Greathouse if he's healthy and returns to playoff form for the post season. He accounted for almost half of our receiving yards against Ped State and he was half our receiving yards against OSU.I mean we shouldn’t need either one the rest of the way
Playoff games don't count against the 4 game redshirt. He was talking about not needing either for the remaining regular season games, which is correct. We shouldn't need them to win out in the regular season.BS, I'll take Greathouse if he's healthy and returns to playoff form for the post season. Right. I'd be wary of relying in December on a guy who hasn't played since September. But at this point I tend to agree there's no particular need to blow his year of eligibility either.Playoff games don't count against the 4 game redshirt. TJ Jones was a pretty good college wide receiver and played four years in the NFL. He could do worse!honestly hes more TJ Jones than Golden Tate. I think he will end up redshirting this year, play in the playoff hoping to increase his stock, then leaves.
He actually strikes me as the exact type of player who should be trying to squeeze out an extra year of NIL. I don't see him making too much bank in the league.I just don't see him sticking around for 2 more years of college ball. So a redshirt would be pointless.
That said, I also don't see him as being elite enough to be a high draft pick or stepping right into the NFL.
Some maybe collect all the college scratch you can get and take your shot at the NFL when the time comes.
