This is just like Cignetti. When pompous people fall, I love it. I, and so many others, do the right thing and be kind and respectful. Sure he will be wealthy, but you know deep down the fact he was fired will eat at him the rest of his life. I am petty and I am okay with it.

I get it that he is BK and all but he had a 34-13 record as a HC in the SEC and had a Heisman Trophy winning QB. Good luck finding someone that will win 72% of their games over a 4 year time frame there.

I honestly dont think they'll have an issue with that. They have as much talent on their roster as anyone does. The blueprint of win the games you should, then fold in the big games is gone now

So this will be unpopular, and I’m not defending the guy. But he DID rebuild this program. Yeah, he was a shit fit at LSU. But I can see him making a program like BC or Rutgers somewhat formidable. I suspect we haven’t seen the last of Ol purple face…

He modernized the program but he created a ceiling on ND that didn’t actually exist, but most of us just accepted as reality until Freeman blew that up. Grateful for what he did, the wins, and some of my favorite all time players, and most of all, hiring Freeman.

Brian Kelly started that. Brian Kelly brought Freeman to ND. Brian Kelly voluntarily left the ND coaching job, leading to a guy that does have the rizz to break through some systemic barriers that Kelly never was going to.
