I see this night game is not yet sold out. ND is offering a package deal on their website for $150/pair in the lower bowl corner endzones. Just bought tickets for my children's first game. Their first experience at Notre Dame was a huge fail because it was cold and misted/rained during the 2023 spring game and the kids were miserable. We need to correct that this year!

Navy got a huge win last weekend. It's possible that they may (hopefully) roll into South Bend undefeated - playing at North Texas will be tough for them.

That said, I have a serious, albeit stupid, question for you all. Notre Dame, obviously, plays Navy every year. What's the reception like for Navy at Notre Dame? Seriously, do you boo when they run out onto the field? I remember going to the LSU-Army game a couple of years ago and when Army ran out, the fans in my section didn't really not what to do ... many just kind kept silent or clapped in an unenthusiastic manner instead of the normal boos raining down on the opponent.

FPI currently has Navy ranked 78th in the country.
Credit due to thier players and coaching staff for being undefeated thus far, but it feels like they're living on borrowed time and I would be very surprised if they're undefeated for the game under the lights in South Bend.

We clap. ND is particularly close with Navy since the campus was kept alive during WWII as a Navy training facility, which is also one of the main reasons we play them every year

North Texas is not as good as their record. Western Michigan should have beaten them. The last 8 minutes or so of that game was WMU self inflicted penalties. Seriously, have not seen a team beat themselves at the end of a game that bad before.

There’s a chant the students do where part of it goes: “Suck it ____ (nickname of team we’re playing)! Go Irish, Go!”

Typically when hosting a service academy, you hear them get awkwardly quiet, then “Go Irish, Go!”

I've heard "Thank you, Navy" during that chant. I believe that's the official line in this context

Night games are the best, are you high?
I like the earlier games. Get a nice day buzz going then after the game start drinking to either celebrate or to counter the emptiness im feeling after a loss.

If watching from home ... I love them. Navy needs to come in undefeated (7-0). The Irish (and fans) will be super fired up. Go Irish.
I get it, but I loved the Arkansas game (yes I know it was on the road) starting at 11am my time. I work night shift so I came home, took a nap, then woke up had coffee & a screw driver. Best feeling ever. Then with the game ending in the afternoon went to a really cool restaurant where I had some good seafood and some local beers and I was happy while I was eating & drinking and not using the good food and beer to make myself feel better. Game day can be like that every week as far as I’m concerned.

And we may may be facing an undefeated team with a new DC.

I'm taking nothing for granted.

I agree. Yet they're an above average Navy squad, and the average Navy squad gives ND problems.
No, they aren't an above average Navy Squad. Using loss and "terrifying" we have:

2007: 74 (ND was awful btw)
2008: 51
2009: 38
2010: 55
2013: 51
2014: 71
2016: 61 (ND was awful btw)
2017: 55
2022: 74 (Freeman took his foot off the pedal).

Now take the easy wins:
2011: 74
2012: 82
2015: 31
2018: 107
2019: 24
2021: 97
2023: 74
2024: Can't find it at the moment.

This is not a good Navy team. We've beaten, handedly, the best versions of Ken Niumatalolo's Navy. Newberry's Navy beats bad teams with a bad OOC schedule outside of Notre Dame.

Our staff has figured this team out. I have faith in the defense. Our passing game is going to blow by them and the running game is going to run over them.

Our Line backers will eat.
