What this graph really tells me is that Indiana is very efficient/successful on 1st downs, AND make up for it on 2nd down if not.
Watching Indiana throttle Illinois, I think they are for real this year. Embry is electric. Wouldn't be surprised to see them in the Big Ten Championship Game.

Yes. No offense to Will Howard but he rode the bus more than anything. Hartman could have done that.
He completed his first 13 passes in the championship game and outrushed ND’s entire offense.

Dude had an incredible playoff run, I doubt Hartman could’ve replicated that.

It would have been a different looking offense for sure, but Howard was throwing to the best WR corps in CFB with two NFL RBs to hand it off to, Chip Kelly as his OC, and a fully humming Jim Knowles defense on the other side of the ball. To Will's credit he capitalized on that, but he benefitted way more from OSU than vice versa imo.

"has done a remarkable job of protecting the football"

I want to know what happened in camp lol
Most likely what happens in most NFL and College camps…..

- QBs taking risks to see where their game is at, what they can get away with / accomplish

- defense knowing the offense and what they are trying to work on

- going against a VERY GOOD secondary

Notably, Bear Bachmeier is the top listed true freshman. ND probably would've ended up with 2 of the top 3 on the list if it weren't for Deuce doing Deuce things. Regardless, it bodes well for ND's QB scouting.
All 3 of the top 3 are guys ND was recruiting and NDs QB. Pretty, pretty good

I've decided to drop the Jets in 2-3 years and become a fan of whoever drafts CJ.

unless it's the Browns.

Carr was 9/14 on throws over 10 yards, middle of the field entering Saturday.

He finished 6/9 for 118 and 2 TDs on Saturday alone. Credit NC State for trying to funnel things to an area ND/Carr generally avoided to date. He tore it apart in the 2H.

CJ Carr getting serious Heisman hype now. A big game against USC can catapult him into the top 3. He’s 9th in current betting odds.

If you would have told me in June that Carr would be top ten in Heisman odds at the midpoint of the season, I would have bet my house that Notre Dame would be 6-0.
