Unless Golden gets hurt, I wouldn’t foresee that. When they go Dime, they go three safeties not four corners. It was Tae and now it’s been Talich.
I think you need Hobbs to get some reps too though to keep his head involved and get some reps and hopefully confidence

They moved him to CB4. He DNP against Purdue and Boise. 7 reps against Arkansas were on the outside. It seems he’s done playing Nickel. I don’t know what they would do, I have a feeling it would be Gray and Zackery would take Gray’s spot.

Curious why they show Lambert OR Absher at RG? Only OL position with an 'OR' listed. I know Aamil came up a little gimpy against Boise, and Lambert is backup at tackle. They thinking Aamil might not go this week?

Since there is no "or" with Wagner and Lambert, it might just be a tight competition between Lambert and Absher?

I think it's been listed this way for numerous weeks.

Abshur is a good OG. Just admit that the staff sees him as near-starting material (probably at more than one position.)
His inclusion doesn't say bad things about anyone's ability, though Wagner was obviously injured (and played injured) last game.

Just listened to the Marcus presscon posted beneath our site. He's unusually interesting to listen to, if you pay close attention with an analyst's ear --- i.e. he actually says things, not just coach speak. For me, it was nice to hear him address the OLine (of course.) He was VERY CALM about it. He reiterated that we have four returning starters and that fact has allowed them and the coach to get off the field after every series and effectively get into just exactly, in what fine details, they need to adjust to handle the idiosyncrasies of the opponent. And then he said, Guerby's getting there too, as the rookie. So all five are starting to be able to work together in the in-game adjustments.

That was very good hearing. Also, the utter calmness of this bit of analysis by him, says to me that the OLine is NOT what he's worried about just now. ... he'd like no false starts though.

Went to the WF game and wasn’t impressed. As an ND fan I know they can lose to anyone, but if we play to our potential this shouldn’t be close.

I'm not a Dr I understand but it concerns me that they're possibly clearing Flanagan. An Achilles used to be a minimum of 12 months.

I just have a very hard time accepting that he's completely healthy. I sure hope he doesn't rush it

It would be roster malpractice if he plays more than 4 regular season games this year. Guessing they will try to get him ready to be the blocking TE for USC then not until the last few games of the year plus any playoff games

NC State Head Coach Dave Doeren coached at Northern Illinois for 2 years.

For all the self hating fans out there.

Apparently the injury isn't even the issue now, it's his "capacity" according to Freeman. So it seems like he's actually cleared physically.

John Brice mentioned this in a recent podcast. They are gearing him up for USC and then most likely 3 games down the stretch.

I’m excited to get him back because of his blocking and think he can make a difference in the stupid lepracat package they are running. Hopefully with his return they just scrap it and just run our RB behind him.

Virgina Tech had 5 sacks and 8 TFL against them should be the same game plan we did against Boise our DL should have another solid game, Bailey also tossed 3 picks against Duke

I'll be there, first game in 2 years. Was supposed to go early last year, but the baby boy was knocking on the doorstep early at 7 mos. Doctor said no travel after that.

Can't wait. Itching to tailgate as badly as I am to walk into that stadium again.
