They started playing football 5 years after ND, had Lou Holtz and Monte Kiffin as head coaches, there’s definitely some history!

Not the greatest tradition. No finishes in the AP top 10. Overall just above .500 as a program and just under that in bowls.

They’re 2-2 vs ND all time. Phillip Rivers & Co. kicked ND’s ass in the bowl game after Ty’s first season. And then, of course; the hurricane game…thx BK!

around game time go on youtube and search for Notre Dame versus NC state then filter by Live broadcasts. Some rando Thai/Vietnamese channel will be live streaming the game, and if it gets taken down just repeat the process and another will have popped up to take its place

Everyone is looking for their own Curt Cignetti now, especially basketball schools, so I get it. Who are they going to get that's going to not only be better but come in and stay knowing there is a lack of football history and tradition here?

One morning I was in line (it was the week after they knocked off Clemson and had a letdown game, almost got beat by Skip Holtz' LATECH) and he was talking about how he was talking to Lou during the week. I had to jump in.

After about 5 minutes, he tried to tell me there's no such thing as a letdown game, that playing up (like knocking off Clemson) or down (like sleepwalking through LATECH the next week) didn't exist. "That's all media bullshit. Not real."

I was so dumbfounded and loaded with so many examples of how that happens ALL THE TIME, I didn't even know what to say.
Besides, despite his age I think he woulda kicked the shit outta me if I argued with him.

They've certainly had some good wins and often are a tough out, they just never seem to be consistently good. I remain baffled as to why none of the schools in North Carolina or Virginia (at least since Va Tech with Beamer) have been able to break through, given all the talent in the area. I know they're mostly "basketball schools" but still.

Don’t go to a Hawkeye bar. Drive 5-6 hours to south bend for a ND bar! I actually have peacock but will be at the SoCal ND bar for the game. All I know is ND better win by 30 plus while putting on a defensive show. We should have had at least 3 more score last week. Game was not as close as it should have been going into the third quarter. Would have been a defensive masterpiece if the refs weren’t continually keeping the Boise drives going. Seems like Boise HC was always there next to the refs getting them to call ticky tack penalties. Jason Garret properly got on the refs ass for so many BS calls. We had 3-4 non calls as well.

If they weren’t attached to UNC, what conference would NC State be in when the ACC crumbles?

On their own merit I feel like it would be American but they’ll probably get a nice landing spot because of UNC. Plus Boo Corrigan is the AD so ND could shuffle the deck in their favor

I think that if the ACC falls apart there’s a domino effect that leads to significant realignment within the Big 12, maybe resulting in two separate conferences. I would imagine a lot of the lesser Big 12 teams would be effected by this

I have Peacock. Not for ND games. Get a Firestick. I recently got one. I can watch any live sports game. I love it. Especially being a Cubs fan. Just a suggestion.
