Game 3 (if needed) the Sox would throw a rookie making his fifth career start/appearance. Only has 19.1 big league innings. Connelly Early is his name.

Brayan Bello is ok, not great. 11-9 with a 3.35 era. He’ll be pitching tomorrow.

Giolito being hurt hurts the Sox a lot. With him they have three legit playoff starters. Without him, we’ll see. I worry their lineup has too many holes to win without elite starting pitching.

Roberts seems to have done a good job w/ WC roster. Conforto was clearly a poor FA pickup. Snell was nasty tonight. When’s he good, he’s one of the best. I realize everyone other than Dodgers fans are rooting for Reds. I would be doing the same. That said, I could still see Dodgers blowing the next two games. They won’t get very deep this season.

Because I’m psycho (& love baseball), I’ve watched most of LA’s games this season on MLB.TV. While their bully took carried their pitching last season, it’s a dumpster fire this season. I think Tanner Scott has 10 blown saves…easily the league leader. You can have all the velo & spin rate in the world…but you still have to throw strikes. I hate walks!!!!

I was coming here to say "no way either of you have a worse pen than Detroit." Seems like we are all in pretty bad company lol. Collectively > 4.00 ERAs and 1.30 WHIPs. Oof.

Bibee just did an unbelievable job picking up his defense there, striking out the side after the error. Meadows on 2nd with nobody out, and he is about as close as it gets to an automatic run on a base hit from 2nd.

I assume Detroit's performance is my fault. I tuned in immediately prior to the Indians' 8th inning homer and muliple consecutive hits/runs after the Tigs had given up two hits all day (I think.)
