Surely with 3 of the 4 series going to a game 3 and the 4th still in play there will be a team that lost the first game and goes on to win the wild card series. They hit Boonie with the fact (in an interview yesterday) that no team has come back after losing the first yet.
this trend is continuing.

On paper Yanks need to be up by 3 or 4 going into the 7th so the batters need to fire up (their bullpen was good yesterday which means likely to suck bad today).

Red Sox hit like shit. That’s pretty much all you need to know.

Duran needs to find his juice doctor again in the off-season.

Dr. Juice Good will have him playing All Star baseball again

Respect to Schlittler (sp?). Sometimes, you must tip your cap.

That dude throws gas. He’ll be a weapon going forward. I didn’t expect him pitching off 100 mph.

That catch from McMahan looked dangerous.
Great win by the Yankees.

Early will also be a good one. But Schittler was ridiculous tonight, and the reality is the Red Sox have two maybe three guys who can hit in October, which is not enough.

Who are these 2 or 3 people you speak of?

Bregman is going to be a heavy price to carry. .273 with just 18 yacks isn’t going to justify that pay day.
He was hurt right when he was getting hot.

I think you have to resign him. Bottom line is this was one of the worst fundamental teams I have seen in a long time. That starts at the top and works it's way down. The series was poorly managed and the execution offensively and defensively was atrocious. Pitching outside of Bello was good enough to win all 3 games. We were lucky to win one. We gave that series to them.

Oh well go Blue Jays

I hope the Sox re-sign him because he's good for the young guys, but I can not imagine anyone paying him $40M/year in a longer-term deal. Maybe he tests the market and decides to stick.

In old baseball vernacular, that was a gem Schitller tossed. 12K and 0 walks in eight. Was hoping Boone would let him finish. He only threw 7 pitches in the 8th was still throwing 98mph.

Im sorry, but whoever they have watching the replays needs to have their eyes looked at. That play at the plate in the cubs game should of been overturned. I dont have a team in the playoffs (Braves fan), but I told my daughter, if you have a guy running full speed then sliding and a catcher with his arm out to make the tag, if he actually made the tag you would see his arm move backwards towards the plate. His arm started to move once the baserunner for the cubs entire hand had crossed the plate. The one where the overturned the PCA stolen base was correct.

Fucking dealt. No denying that.

Works off a 101 fastball. Everything looks hard to hit when dealing with 101.

ESPN has Luke Weaver's ERA as INF which I assume means infinite (3ERs, zero outs). Haha. He is struggling.

Teoscar Hernandez still the worst fielding OF in the playoffs…maybe in all of MLB. Has no business playing RF.
