My biggest issue with rooting for A&M down the stretch is I don’t think they are very good.

Yeah they’re gonna go 8-4. Their defense is nothing special, neither is Reed, and the coaches at the better SEC teams will learn from our mistakes in coverage.

Fun stat - Drew Allar has a worse QBR than Carr. Keep in mind Drew Allar has 30 more career starts, hasn't played on the road yet, and Penn St SOS is currently 91st while NDs is 1st. Lol...this is why Penn St will not win a championship this year.

The QB and HC combo there in Happy Valley aren't leading them to the Promised Land.

Seriously, the smoothness and calm he plays with given those two games were his first starts is amazing. He throws a perfect ball, and seeing the placement and the windows he nails is the sign he's special.

Sad that so much of the deflated team expectations have honestly overshadowed this fact. He's him.

It really...really irks me that Ash took a Top 10 defense and knocked it down to 4th worst immediately. We may actually have the worst defense in FBS after this weekend.

It's kind of hilarious now that so many beat writers got the QB competition wrong. Like, Minchey obviously could be a very decent QB still, but Carr is capable of making all the throws and he looks like the kind of QB we've wanted but lacked for at least 15 years.

Yep, and that would be my only knock on him, a very soft knock, his decision making when he scrambles and extends the play, sometimes it looks like he 2nd guesses himself, hesitates, then makes a dangerous throw. He will improve there no doubt.
