Only problem I see with Carr is he puts too much air under his longer throws. Should drill them like Marcel Reed.
Should learn that as he gets more experience.
Yeah, I don't want Carr to learn anything from Reed.I think Carr’s throws are significantly better than Reed’s.
Yeah. Trade QBs and we probably lose last night by 20.Yeah, I don't want Carr to learn anything from Reed.
If this is true, its a horrible thing
But amazing we had as much success as we did if they knew it was pass/run nearly every time
I think this narrative is played out. When is the last time this happened? I just scrolled through our schedules as far back as ESPN would let me and the only other time I can find that we played back to back ranked opponents to start the season was 2005. We started with Pitt then Michigan. Looking forward we wont in 26 or 27 either. He's been a stud in two extremely big games to start the season. He's made a few freshmen mistakes, but he is absolutely the guy I want leading this team. This all could have been mitigated with an easier schedule to start the season and easing into a conference schedule. It might be time to pull the trigger as realignment doesn't want to end. Carr could have slowly got acclimated to the college game, and our defense would have more time to get fixed under a new DC.
This shouldn't be an issue. A lot of QB's do this in college and pros. Was in the south end zone. One other tell I noticed was whenever the HB was lined up directly behind Carr, he would signal to the HB which direction to run the ball (if they were running the ball). He would put both hands behind his back, and make a fist with one and point to the left/right with the other. Would happen quickly, but usually twice per run play in this formation. If you were the defense, you could not see the direction, but the arms behind the back would signal it was a run
This specific issue is a coaching thing, if it is an issue at all
Bingo. To add: when is the last time ND had a starting QB who looked this good after their first two starts? In my lifetime, I don't think I've come across anything like how promising CJ is this early in his tenure. It’s his second start. Dude balled out and had the team in position to win both games. Stop being a negative Nancy.

Both of those games were on the road in back to back weeks.I think this narrative is played out. When is the last time this happened? Seriously, the smoothness and calm he plays with given those two games were his first starts is amazing. He throws a perfect ball, and seeing the placement and the windows he nails is the sign he's special.Bingo. He is already to the point where you can't just throw cover 2 or 3 at him because he will drop dimes in the soft spot all day.Seriously, the smoothness and calm he plays with given those two games were his first starts is amazing. Sad that so much of the deflated team expectations have honestly overshadowed this fact. He's him.
I refuse to give up yet. I was pretty dejected Sunday and earlier this week, but let's start out by (hopefully) smashing Purdue tomorrow. If this team rips off 10 wins, they have a shot. One week at a time, but similar to last year, playoffs start now for ND.Seriously, the smoothness and calm he plays with given those two games were his first starts is amazing. He throws a perfect ball, and seeing the placement and the windows he nails is the sign he's special.

Fun stat - Drew Allar has a worse QBR than Carr. Keep in mind Drew Allar has 30 more career starts, hasn't played on the road yet, and Penn St SOS is currently 91st while NDs is 1st. Lol...this is why Penn St will not win a championship this year.
Honestly I have no problem rooting for A&M. Compared to most of the rest of the SEC I don't find them objectionable at all. Mike Elko seems like a good dude too.We unfortunately have to root for Miami and aTm to win a lot of football games to boost our resume
Just a sour taste in my mouth that we lost to them. But overall, yeah, not really on my radar of teams I dislikeHonestly I have no problem rooting for A&M. Compared to most of the rest of the SEC I don't find them objectionable at all. Mike Elko seems like a good dude too.
I think their oline may be good enough this yearMy biggest issue with rooting for A&M down the stretch is I don’t think they are very good.
