I just don't see how Miami will be able to sustain productive drives to score against this defense consistently. Beck is too good to be kept down the whole game, he'll hit some throws, but ND's defense will be too much.

CJ Carr just needs to stay within the offense, maybe hit one or two shots to keep the Miami defense honest. I think Fields gets a 50/50 ball early to soften the box and Love and Price wear down their front by the end of the third quarter.

ND 24, Miami 14

This game is so intriguing to me. I'm interested to see how ND, offensively, will approach the game. Do they keep it close to the vest and rely on a heavy dose of Love/Price/Williams? They thought being, you're on the road in a hostile environment with a new QB, and the less you show of Carr equates to less A&M has on him in the coming weeks. Or, do they say the hell with it and play it as if they had a 5th year returning starter at QB? As with everything, it probably lies somewhere in the middle.

I think the key is to consistently move the ball (no 3 and outs), which, in theory, ND should be able to do with its offensive line and backs, maintain the field position advantage, no turnovers, and wear them out. It could be tight for the first half and most of the 3rd quarter, but playing that way (with sound defense), and that dam will break.

ND - 28
Miami - 17

It will be 37-7 after the third. Minchey to Paulding in the 4th that makes the IE board go nuts and confused for two weeks. Backup defense gives up 2 TDs and a two pt conversion making the IE board think the Defense sucks again….

I hate that this is on a Sunday. My game day ritual is to start my morning with eggs, bacon and a 20 oz Yeti filled with an old fashion. I don’t think God will be too happy if I’m sipping that during church.
I don’t think he’ll mind, I mean, we’re talking about a guy who’s son could turn water into wine.

A few other posters have mentioned that Miami might not be that deep past first string. I think it a great point if true. ND is pretty deep at most positions except tight end, I think. As the game goes on ND can rotate without much of a drop off. Can Miami say the same?
They don’t have as much proven depth as ND but their 2s aren’t bad just haven’t had the reps. Their DL is loaded w/ former 4-5 stars who are waiting in line for their turn.
