I want to add, if the staff are playing mind games with Carr.... that's concerning as hell to me. I don't see any long term positives from fucking with your players' heads to test them. It breeds mistrust and encroaches on setting them up for failure. I would be shocked if that is what was happening. I think there are better ways.

For me, it will come down to Carr and being able to make the throws he thinks he can make. If he starts hitting those tiny windows with consistency, ND should be able to maximize this team's potential. If he isn't hitting those windows and cannot adjust his decision making, then ND may be in for some devastating TOs and Carr isn't ready to be Freeman's QB.
If Minchey knows the offense well enough to audible and if he isn't turning the ball over, ND can make the playoffs. If his reported inability to run the offense as well as Carr is accurate, will he be trusted to make changes at the line? Wimbush against Georgia wasn't allowed (didn't know the check) to make changes at the line and it severely hampered the offense. He has to consistently show that he is the safer QB. If he is doing that, I think he starts because ND is about winning, right now.

I just hope the guy who wins the job won't miss wide open WRs too often. I'm mentally preparing for a lot of "check with me" play calls

This same coaching staff went with Pendleton out of fall camp because he was a fall practice warrior. How did that work out jumping Spindler and Coogan?

I just think in some instances this staff and Marcus can over compensate towards practice. Everyone who’s ever played sports knows someone who was just better in the game than practice and I think Freeman can overlook that part of human psychology.

There’s always going to be an exception to the rule, but those that start earned it at practice. If a guy subs in and plays better than the starters, the coaches will see it. More than likely they’ll tell them what they need to do to earn it

MF has earned the benefit of the doubt, and as Belichick always said, you make the decision that's best for the team. If that's Minchey, it's Minchey.

You don't put a QB out there who doesn't appear ready for the bright lights because he has a better recruiting pedigree, or you're worried he's going to transfer. This is D1 football. Not everybody gets to play.

Yes this is true, but I said later that hopefully they weigh the scrimmage and most game like scenarios higher than other practice type scenarios.

Obviously it’s a great coaching staff and they have the benefit of the doubt. I’m just saying blind faith in their decisions isn't warranted and there’s an example from last fall camp contradicting giving total faith into their decisions.

Not sure where the grass would be greener among blue bloods given the QB depth at all of these schools. Maybe UGA....?

I didn’t. Please find any where I jumped on him in any way over his CJ Carr pick. I jumped on his fan boys that treat his schtick as gospel without any evidence in any sort of way. He didn’t provide any verifiable information at all and when ever anyone asked for the very least of some type of verification he flip out and you all would come to his defense. It’s all quit humorous. It’s a great display of how people will just take information as fact without any corroborating evidence.

I'm not sure if I'm understanding if the problem is that he asked one of the mods if there was an easy way to delete some posts, and that mod said "sure" or if you're just trying to say "I think this dude is was a fraud and I consider this support of that"

Btw over the years someone asking to fully scrub an account isn't even an odd request. One former member was taking a job in the federal gov and was like "I don't know if I have or haven't said anything controversial, but just to be safe can you nuke my account?" Of course we are going to do that. What is the alternative? I've probably done it ~10 times in the decade I've been posting here.

It is warranted. They have the most data points and there is no reason to believe they weigh things incorrectly. Everything you've posted is speculation. Their WR choices were wrong? I have only seen CJ and Kenny play twice on the same field - and both times CJ was the guy I’d sign up for . The saving grace would be Kenny improved big-time. The only news that comes out is CJ 💩 the competition?. How would it be a positive mindset if Minchey is named the starter?
