#169 and #160 player on 247 / on3. Rivals having his as a 3 star and ESPN having him unranked (lol) pulling him down for now. This would be another great get.

Also worth noting that we were his last offer (well after OSU, PSU, LSU, FSU, Auburn, etc…). Impressive job by the staff if they can close.

Assume we’ll still go hard after Premer, but wonder where that leaves us with a kid like JC Anderson who is very good but not elite.

Premer is the elite of the elite this class along with Kendre Harrison and Brock Harris imo. Bowman is up there too.

Jacobson is in that next group with Sutter, Prothro, etc. imo.

I’m sure we will find out the answer to our TE conundrum pretty soon. If Premer does in fact visit (just saying if, I assume the visit is still on. No inside info). Does it move the needle for him? I have a feeling the visit goes well but doesn’t do anything for us. We then land Jacobson and Fryzel.

If we do hit Premer’s visit out of the park we take him. Then it’s whoever the staff likes more out of 2A/2B which would probably be Jacobson.

Premer is definitely the best of the 3, but I think taking all 3 would be a mistake. That is overloading at the position.

I would guess the staff would turn up the heat on Premer before accepting a commit from Fryzel. "Look, man. He's going to commit, so you're either in or out". I keep hearing Premer wants to stay in-state, though.

Hoosier is probably right that 3 would be overkill, especially as Denbrock gets his guys, slowly but surely improves the WR room from the Del and Chanci disasters, and molds the offence into more 11 than 12. It was smart to run 12 when ND had so few serviceable wideouts (and multiple serviceable TE's when MF took over, but that's not the case anymore.

I do know the staff was telling him they would take 3 tight ends. Maybe he doesn’t want to be part of a 3 TE class.

If I remember correctly, the staff would take three IF Premer wanted in. That assumed Fryzel and Jacobson would already be in the class. I think everyone expected Jacobson to pop before Premer. Premer is the type of guy you always make room for but now that he committed first, your needs are met.

And at the very least, take two TEs next year. We could hit on 2 studs again next year
Agreed, Jack Larsen has 4 years left I think he's going to be good, James Flanigan is gonna be a stud he will play this year I wouldn't be surprised if he breaks out. If I'm Notre Dame I'd go after Driver and Loken or Brown

I was told by someone, post Premer, that Jacobson was still being told they would take 3
