Lots of speculation and no facts. A guy named sliced bread has people up in arms talking about NIL. His 15 minutes of fame.

Jimbo Fisher got pissed and responded, calling other coaches in his conference clowns and the story a clown show. Heard it on sports radio this morning.

Should be a fun story to follow, but I won't believe anything until someone other than a social media personality called sliced bread confirms the numbers. LOL

On the one hand, it's good to spread around the broadcasting rights because it will get more options to watch and dilutes ESPN's hold on the narratives that feed directly into recruiting.

OTOH, the B1G and the SEC lapping the field in revenue is untenable, long term.

I'm surprised he's still in the game. I thought people got wise to his bullshit and he quit getting clicks.

I don’t see this working out long term and I’m not sure what the point is.
I don't think it'll work. But I think the point is to elevate the school. There are several FCS programs with FBS aspirations that want to get in before being locked out forever. Sac State seems to just be particularly desperate to do so.

They suck at sports so I wonder if it's an effort to elevate the school in some way. Be associated with San Jose State and San Diego State instead of Weber State and Northern Colorado.

Let's fully embrace the European soccer model and regulate/promote schools based on performance as well. It would make it really interesting and make more than just the playoffs matter
Completely agree. CFB is already operating differently than other NCAA sports anyway—let’s completely rework things to not completely disenfranchise the lower 50% of D1/FCS.

Conceptually it would be kinda amusing to see Ohio State come skullfuck us in the Fargodome.

There is a problem, FCS has wayyy fewer scholarships.

I was thinking more along the lines of p5 and g5 promotion and regulation. But I'd long to watch the bison go to Michigan and beat the shit out of them. We gotta think positive 😂

Promotion and relegation adds serious meaning to bottom dwellers and have nots. I mean as a wolves fan in the EPL, all i got is hoping they get an upset or two and beat the some of the other middling teams to stay in the league.
