He has a bunch of young guys playing minutes they werent supposed to be playing and making plays right now on a championship level defense.
I dont know how else you gauge recruiting. He might not be bringing in recruiting championships but he is bringing in good football players and developing them. Not sure what else the standard needs to be.

Well he didn’t recruit out of HS Mills or Cross or Burnham or Botelho or Junior or Hinish or Oben or Rubio

It’s not controversial to say he damn well can coach ball but could recruit better

Sometimes it feels like if Washington cured cancer, Notre Dame fans would complain that 247 doesn't have his cure listed as a 5 star. What he's done with a patchwork line is phenomenal. Georgia had multiple All-Americans going up against backups and third stringers and got demolished. The line is what won this game.

If Notre Dame can empty the war chest on 2 DTs to go along with their interior developmental players and Gabe Rubio & Hinish, they will have a fierce defensive front next year.

Think about our defensive end potential: Botelho, Traore, Loghan Thomas, Bryce Young, Tuihalamaka, Burnham + incoming freshman. I'm sure we'll lose somebody but it is a helluva group to craft a defense around.

Also, my dark horse candidate is Cole Mullins. I really liked him and I'm hoping the injuries are in the past and Landow can accelerate his development.
