Which one?Wonder how much shit the restaurant owner I've been trolling will get into for tip theft it's a local 574 spot
Lechyda BreweryWhich one?
Elkhart? Interesting.Lechyda Brewery
Go to Chubby's, Dalessandro's, or Angelo's IMO. Also the roast pork with broccoli rabe at DiNic's in the Reading Terminal Market is wonderful.I’m in the NOVA area for work. I have never been to Philly and just happen to be curious if a Philly cheesesteak is worth the drive and if there is anything else to do or eat in Philly since I don’t have a lot to do before going home Saturday.
People love that place, it’s ightLechyda Brewery
If you've never been to Philly, a morning or afternoon at the Reading Terminal market is worth the trip alone. There's also gonna be a ton of energy in the city this week for the Eagles, and I suggest no pole climbing.I’m in the NOVA area for work. and don't dress like Santa unless you want to get pelted with batteries. If you want to get your ass kicked by a few locals, go to the Rocky statue and put a Mahomes jersey on it. Feel free to DM me for other ideas/ spots to hit up on a 30 degree day in Philly with snow in the forecast.
Cheesesteaks - Jims on South St, Delassandro's are the top 2. If you want to venture off the beaten path, go to McNally's Tavern in Chestnut Hill for their Schmitter sandwich. It's a cheesesteak with thousand island dressing in a small pub.

I guess it was just snowballs. But my version certainly seems plausible. LOLWhat's the story here?
Come on man. The 90s are over, no matter what the kids of gen Z are wearing.and don't dress like Santa unless you want to get pelted with batteries.![]()
Fair question. The Schmitter sandwich I mentioned isn't a cheesesteak, but it's one of a kind. Picture a prime rib sandwich (kaiser or long roll) with thousand island dressing. Wash it down with a Guinness or Harp and it's a fantastic lunch. As a Cheesesteak lover...is it still even a Cheesesteak if you're putting thousand island dressing on it? I've always been told it gets Cheez Whizz or nothing.
What's the story here?
There was this little shack in Stone Harbor, NJ called Pat’s Lunch that had the best cheesesteaks in the country… I’ve never been to Philly for a “real” cheesesteak, but idc, I’ll put my rep on the line with a complete lack of information or context on the national cheesesteak scene.
These things in NJ were so fucking good, there’s no way any place in Philly could compare. He was a WWII vet, got his meat delivered by the butcher every morning, made she-crab soup every morning, sold bait and tackle on the side, and would bitch at you the entire time you were in there. Place was filthy, and if you weren’t local or a friend, you would’ve left out of concern for your health.
But the cheesesteak was otherworldly. It wasn’t cheese whizz, but he’s use this cheese that would melt over the meat and get the inside of the roll nice and soggy shortly after he wrapped it up in the paper.
There are several things I would do if I had a Time Machine… going back in time to eat another cheesesteak at Pat’s is much higher on the list than I care to admit
My man!! Outta nowhere with the Reuben heat.Am I the only one who thinks Cheez whizz is gross? Reubens are clearly better than any cheese steak
You are correct on both accountsAm I the only one who thinks Cheez whizz is gross? Reubens are clearly better than any cheese steak
Unpopular, but corned beef is the worst way I've consumed beef.Am I the only one who thinks Cheez whizz is gross? Reubens are clearly better than any cheese steak
