I think it would be a great hire. Sucks as an ND fan, but as a Bears fan, seeing what this guy has done up until now at the college level probably equates to him getting a shot in the League. He's 52 years old and has done great work wherever he's been. The most recent body of work in the playoffs with ND speaks for itself. He has something that NFL teams are likely going to be interested in.

Don't be sad that it's over, be glad that it happened.

What a turnaround for Jaguars fans to go from being locked out of the most exciting offensive coach candidates and being locked into Baalke, to getting a pretty good coach in Liam Coen and a GM with deep ties to the Eagles' org
I get that Coen was a hot name, but has he really done that much to be so highly thought of?

He comes from the McVay Rams tree, first and foremost.

Tampa Bucs had a pretty good offense in 2024 statistically.

This first stint with UK resulted in a 10-3 season when Levis transferred into the program in 2021.

He's also the same age as McVay. LOL

Yeah he's done pretty well for himself even if he's not the next Sean McVay. Dude wasn't the problem back in '22 for the Rams

Scarred nah. Just hate seeing great coaches thrown into a worthless dumpster fire program. A waste of their talents.
Best thing about watching Eagles take down Green Bay was knowing it was the Bears who broke them 😂

I suppose the Bears could go the Irish Envy route of athletic administration and just give Ian Cunningham a massive raise so he doesn't leave.

He might turn out to be a great coach, but man people were talking about him like he was a can’t miss coaching prospect. Nothing is a sure thing but at least with Ben Johnson I can see where the hype comes from, he’s proven his offensive chops. Coens CV just seems a little light in comparison.

IDK. His name has come up for a while and he's just now getting an opportunity. We'll see. Honesty, 39 almost feels old now when it comes to guys getting first time HC gigs.

Allen and Roushar were part of the Saints organization from 2015 to 2022 together. Not sure it would matter seeing as one is an OL coach and one is a DC, but it might help.

Roushar overlapped with Doyle in New Orleans as well. Doyle was only an offensive assistant but Roushar is getting the nod from Johnson's current OC and DC, most likely.

Roushar's been around, man. Dude started coaching during the Reagan Administration.

How starts the succession episode of grandkids getting their shot, and wanting money. This team will be sold by this team next year if they can't figure out the stadium asap. They want their cash

It is my understanding that none of the children nor grandchildren want to have the team. They'll most likely be looking to cash in.

It's going to be interesting.

The finances of an estate like that have to be fascinating. 110% hope you are right here.

I had heard that they were trying to keep the team actually, this was about 5 years ago though.
