open on a handful of plays. Riley just want looking for him.
It's going to come out that he was playing through an MCL or PCL sprain and it's amazing he was able to do some of the stuff he did.
Im 100% certain i heard one of the Notre Dame reporters say he has a MCL sprain in a pre-natty podcast.

You don’t do surgery on a knee sprain. Should be interesting to follow Love’s offseason.
One thing for sure we don’t need to pound him in spring scrimmages. We know what we have here.
Could be a tear. MCL tears don’t always require surgery. They can heal on their own in the right circumstance.

That was my feeling. If Love was 95% like they were saying we should have been scheming ways to get him the ball in the flat or in space, but we weren't even doing that.
But if Love was so hurt we couldn’t use him effectively, why was he on the field for two-thirds of the snaps? We could’ve tried to get the ball in space to Price or Williams. They’re pretty good too.

Needed him to block probably. Price needs to work on his blitz pickup.

Again not sure about the back usage. Williams is an above average blocker why wasn’t he in the game?
I'm not sure. Williams is definitely better in blitz pickup compared to Price, who got beat a few times in that game and throughout the year. If Love wasn't on the field, I feel like Williams should have been the one to stay in to protect.

"Fortunately, selfishness is a trait not found among these players. Love recently turned down additional NIL funds and asked that the money be distributed among his fellow backs. It is no wonder why none of them elected to leave despite high interest from other teams. This group truly personifies the team first culture that Freeman has cultivated."

Wow

Oregon and Miami can go get fucked. They’re open flouting of tampering rules is beyond the pale.

Very nice sentiment giving his fellow backs more money. I personally would have thrown it to the OL. Gotta keep those guys on your side.

All of this. I hope we stomp the Convicts next year, and hopefully get Oregon in the playoffs. Those pussies fold anytime they face a physical team.

They both can go F themselves, but I also understand their moves. If there's no rules that are enforced and no reprecussions...why not try?

One of these years they’re (Oregon, Miami, etc.) going to be successful at poaching one of our best players and we’re gonna be livid. Whether it’s money, a coaching change, or academic issues; it’s going to happen.

To be fair, this is how it is for all the big dogs. There's a reason ND had several guys locked up ASAP.

You let people behind the scenes make contact. 6 degrees of separation is easy in the world of college football. These guys all have connections based on regional 7-on-7 tournaments, camps, coaching clinics, etc.

Oregon probably has a kid that has a dad that knows a guy that knows someone connected to love, so they got his number and sent a text. And they probably did it a bit later than what ND did with Fields from UVA, for example.

Oregon and Miami haven’t really successfully poached from a true peer. They’ve absolutely preyed on coaching changes and second tier programs though, as well as the QB market.
