I think it would be good for us, culturally, if the center of gravity in college football moves North.

I agree in the broader sense. It's just a hard pill to swallow. I can stomach teams like Clemson and OSU being good. But Michigan is a bridge too far for me.

People don't understand this. My wife was annoyed USC won their bowl game. I'm like, we want to be associated with teams that win---whether that's teams in our region or teams we play every year. If the perception becomes that no one other than the South can play ball, our recruiting and coverage will diminish.

Agreed, but see above. I just carry so much hatred for Michigan. Maybe it's because I grew up 5 minutes from the state line and had to deal with those mouth breathers my entire life.

They're 7-5, finished 7th in their conference and spent millions of dollars on high school players that live down the street from their campus.

F*ck them and their alleged momentum.

Coming off a National Championship*, beat OSU yet again, now Bama, and yes, have shown willingness to buy recruits. It's not alleged. This was supposed to be a down year for them. No one was shocked by the losses. Yet they still managed to salvage a season and carry some pretty significant momentum into their off season. Which is gross.
