Are we judging Milroe on the last hour or the body of work?

I wouldn't mind seeing what Denbrock and Gino could do with him.
He has already played under Rees and DeBoer, both excellent developers of quarterbacks, and has two years of experience as a starter. It may be at this point Milroe is what he is.

But also unless Bama wants to start someone else next year, why would he leave?

Maybe that's the issue? Year two under DeBoer could look better after another offseason and camp.

He ran for 20 TD and threw for over 2,600 yards this season. That's not garbage.

Just to stir up bees, since that's part of what IE is about:

I've watched a small number of freak QB athletes in my old age. Vick, Jackson, and the LSU kid from last year ... and Milroe. All of those earlier mentioned three seemed very intelligent (NOT necessarily having good common sense, i'e' Vick, but intelligent.) I haven't seen that in Milroe yet. IF it's in there, then he might turn his spotty play into something special. If not, not even a QB-developing genius could solve the limitations.

Yeah. I’m sure if Bama wants Milroe back, he’ll be well-compensated. And the stability of a second year in the same system is probably better for his development than going somewhere new.
Unless Bama has someone else they’d prefer and he’d lose the starting job, I don’t see the upside for him to go anywhere.

Take it for what its worth but Colin Cowherd and his sidekick just mentioned that they have heard a lot of chatter of Ewers to ND. Whichb would be the first time i've heard that from someone with his reach.

Was that something he said today? He said that a few days ago, right before nearly every ND media outlet united in their reporting that ND will not be going after a QB in the portal.

Anyone here think this is ND making that $6m offer?

Unless it’s a rogue booster wanting a QB at any cost, I’d be very disappointed if we were using that much of our NIL resources on him. Think only Oregon or OSU would be that desperate and have the resources

I feel like IE keeps forgetting that the NIL valuations are inflating again this offseason because of the expected revenue sharing
