IU was down 3-0 to Michigan and never trailed after that.

That game was brutally ugly but it's their best win. They avoided Rutgers, Minnesota, Iowa, Illinois, Penn State, Oregon. They lost to Ohio State and basically piss pounded the bottom half of the Big Ten standings.

I'm really starting to think this game is going to look at lot like most of ND's wins this season.

Offensively for IU, I don't expect Rourke to do much and we should be able to limit them to <17 points.

Defensively, they're going to sell out to stop the run. Whether they can sell out and stop RL's legs is one thing, but I'll give them credit in that they really did do a great job holding Ohio State (Judkins and Henderson) in check.

If we have trouble running the ball or getting our running game going, it'll be tight going into halftime. I think our talent and experience wears them out in the second half, however.

This will be a 35-14 or 28-14 type game.

Even avoided USC, who I think would have a legit chance of beating IU.

If we're sharing anecdotal evidence....two of my brothers went to IU for Kelley School of Business.... Both are die hard IU Bball / ND Fball.

Both are rooting for IU. And both say "IU is better than NIU not worried".

This is the education you get with an IU degree.... (Purdue engineer here) - but fan of both ND sports lol
How can they be diehard ND football fans and root for IU?

No, but we know IU fans only got 3,500 tickets officially, so every open market sale of tickets is an opportunity for IU to get more in.

Also requesting something like 10 tickets through the lottery system just to scalp them at a crazy mark-up just smacks of greed
I don't disagree at all. Just appears there are a lot of Irish fans wanting tix.

Oh speaking of College GameDay, did you guys see the 100% fake Disney planted signs last week?

There was a Mandolorian one saying "Watching ESPN on Disney+: This is the way." that was absolutely a plant. I'm pretty sure "Let's get down to business to defeat the Horns" was fake too.

"Rudy wasn't offsides"

Now don't give me any crap about this. Reading this thread sounds an awful lot like the threads on other teams sites where they are confident, talking smack, haven't played anyone, etc. and we comment on how delusional they are. lol

Saw this on one of their forums.

This playoff opportunity is history making for IUFB. The # of IU attendees will be shocking. Irish been there before and have not done well. The shine on their dime is not as bright as I once was. Their past NC is only a couple years newer than ours in BB. IU will definitely spend the neccessary $ to be there in spades.

What they're forgetting is that they have *no access to tickets* unless people with lottery access are intentionally putting in for them with the intention of reselling for a profit. Which would be unfortunate and a little surprising if it was more than ~10k tops.

Yeah, I don't see this being another 2017 Georgia or 2001 Nebraska game. This won't be some "take over."

Yup, those people had YEARS to plan for the game, find ways to secure tickets, etc. These people have less than two weeks to find a Notre Dame fan to sell to them. Some will, most won't. There's not going to be a 20k out of 80k wearing red (although it will pop on TV like it always does).

Exactly. Would love to know total resales but it is NOT going to be a huge number.
The thing to look out for, though, is if the weather forecast turns bad enough to delay or cancel flights then thousands of tickets will get dumped. That happened for Clemson a couple of years ago and ticket prices collapsed.
