I really don't think that's going to happen, it's very easy to get approved. For example:


Guys like Gaetz are unique because no one with his baggage has ever been nominated to something as serious as AG.

I expect both Tulsi and RFK to get approved but a lot will ride on what actually comes out in their hearings. It's certainly plausible that one or both of them could get rejected, but I would bet against it.

Independents in the comments love Fetterman. Hardcore liberals not so much. In purple Pennsylvania he probably has the right idea, he seems rather middle of the road on issues and seems to break from his party in some messaging. Don't care for Oz personally.

In North Dakota, I think $300/hr is pretty SOP +/- $50. A fair number take on part time gigs like city prosecutor, city judge, or public defender gigs for extra (and easy) income. In rural areas they are often the county prosecutor on top of their (usually transaction) practice.

Can only bill what clients can afford. Some of the bigger attorneys/firms specializing in more complex litigation or oil/gas stuff will bill substantially more.

MY BIL is at a mega firm in Chicago and the firm bills an hour of his time at around $1000.

There is truth here. I'm sure more experienced CPA's can bill more/work more efficiently than younger ones, but I can't imagine the difference is as vast as the one between experienced and inexperienced attorneys.

California and Iowa are still counting votes in 3 House races 2 1/2 weeks after the election. I realize all three races are extremely close, but it shouldn't take this long to get a 100% accurate tally, especially given the technology available today.

This happened last year followed by another incident a couple of weeks later. While he should retire and this is another argument for term limits, it's nothing that has happened recently.

They'll never pass term limits. I think they could pass the age limit though. Not to be an ageist, and there are certainly some over 80 that can do the job, it's really unnecessary. Spend your remaining years with family and enjoy them. Currently 5-8% of the House and Senate are over 80. I don't believe any of them are new to the job, they've been there long enough. Cap the age at 75 for re-election.
