Has anyone followed FSU closely this year? I haven’t seen them since the GT and Boston College game in Labor Day.

I’m trying to gauge if I should be worried? I know they have individual talent. Have they quit on Norvell?

I'm in Tallahassee. I've watched parts of a couple games, read the news, and talked to co-workers who are hardcore fans, but I haven't been listening to the local sports talk guy much, so I started to get caught up with his podcasts.

The offense is baaaaadddd. The defense can be OK, but not consistent, and guys take plays off on both sides of the ball. Their kicker and punter are very good.

The fans are apathetic about the games and want Norvell gone, but they do not have the money required to fire him and his staff and bring in new ones. He will be the coach through 2025.

The team put up no fight against their heated rival Miami. Guys are likely already thinking about transferring after the season, so their hearts probably won't be in it vs a top 10 team that is going to throttle them handily.

If ND takes them seriously, they will bury fsu early and then the game will get out of hand, because the players will quit. Lord help them if it's kind of cold.

Their boosters have a travel deal for a couple hundred bucks for noles fans to attend the game, but I doubt there's much of an appetite to ride a bus from Tally to SB just to watch that shit show in 40 degree weather.

You can also look at the scores of each of their games…… they have scored over 20 points once (21 in the first game of the season against GT). Besides that offensive showcase, their highest scoring output has been 16 points. On another note, there is quite a bit of chatter that the visitor’s list for this game is going to be quite good.

I’d love to see an updated visitors list. It does seem like a big weekend.

They don't have individual talent; that's the issue.

Even at the tail end of his time there, Jimbo Fisher's FSU teams had talent. He recruited well and there were gamebreakers all over the field, even if the results weren't there.

There's none of that with Norvell. The recruiting rankings of the classes during his time there all fall in the late teens/early 20s. There are no "that guy will be playing on Sundays" talent that jumps off the game film. Norvell should be commended for nailing the transfer portal last year, which resulted in 13-1, but his recruiting has been subpar and the results this year speak for themselves.

ND will have the advantage at almost every position, plus homefield (those Florida boys don't like playing up north in November). ND should hang 50 on these bums.

Their defense is actually pretty good. Their offense is terrible with QB being the major reason. But their highly experienced OL has sucked and their receivers have been dropping a ton of passes.

DJU is pretty bad but he's better than the two jokers who have replaced him, each has been replaced in game in their last two games. Didn't help. Always a possibility DJU returns from his finger injury nothing certain there.

My expectation is it'll be close for a while, we tend to play down to our competition. We'll eventually wake up and they'll fall apart late.

Their defense is okay at best. They're giving up over 300 yards per game and can be run on. Miami, who had not been great on the ground through last week, ran for 200+ on them Saturday night.

This should be a blowout. They are not the FSU of old. This is a bad football team.

I'm so excited. I can't wait to hear the bitching and moaning from everyone here lol

Have you listened to Jeff Cameron at all?

I hit a couple of past episodes of his daily show, which I hadn't in a while. The schadenfreude is glorious.

I'm actually a bit worried about this game. This one could be a lot closer than most ND fans expect.

With a week off before and a night game there's zero excuse to not be absolutely pumped to play and shit all over this team.

Does it really matter if the players don’t care? I mean they didn’t really get up for Miami

I still worry about them too. They only lost to Clemson by a few scores, so if they play as well as they can and we lay an egg, you never know. Hopefully we don’t start slowly after the bye week.

I still expect a W.

I’ve been saying FSU is pretty good on defense, it’s the offense that is killing them.
Well, their offense still sucks, 200 yards total offense vs a terrible North Carolina defense.
Their defense also sucks UNC ran up almost 600 yards. Looks like the noles are cooked.

They’ve gone totally downhill since Clemson. QB play is astonishingly bad

Clemson just got their asses kicked at home by Louisville, at team we handled. And we are a much better team than on that day.

FSU is absolutely not.
