Principal did not have an opinion, said he has to see what the official policy is to respond on if the massive pride flag and woke slogan flags are appropriate for middle school or not. First, am I illiterate or have the stats on your own link increased markedly over the past 8 years in every category, noticeably changing dramatically in 2021?! My bad if I read that wrong, but seems like these numbers support the fear that crime is increasing with a Biden border policy.

Regardless, Stats aside, let's be honest about why people fear immigrants when there is a relatively open border. If you have a 100 person sample size of random Americans, sure there is going to be a full spectrum of people and some will be criminals. In a 100 person immigrant population, the number of crimes may be similar or even less, but skewed to each end of the curve, no? There may be a lot of people more excellent than the average American. There may be engineers coming from say India(or wherever), doctors etc. The fear is the opposite end of the spectrum. If there is a porous border, why wouldn't a country like China take advantage of that to send spies? Are you that naive to think this is not a golden opportunity that they would absolutely take advantage of? Do you not think criminals of all kinds will use the opportunity? Will countries like Venezuela not send undesirable folks? That is common sense that people with bad intent in some way will take advantage of it. Maybe it will be some other way not imagined. Also, are the outstanding immigrants more likely to migrate legally or illegally, duh.

I would assume immigrants are on the more extreme end of the spectrum. Some outstanding people that cant receive the same opportunity/compensation in their own country and some that are facing tough times for a number of reasons, some nefarious.
First, Shouldn't we be at least given the chance to vet those coming in to ensure that there is no illegal backgrould, mal-intent?
Finally, I'm assuming you would disagree, but shouldn't immigrants be people that are exceptional that are going to benefit the country they are moving to? Is that considered a wrong thing to expect in 2024?

The issue isn’t whether illegals are killing more per. The issue is with the current administration’s policy of open borders. It’s making it infinitely easier for those that would have been turned away to enter the U.S. and commit these crimes.

Strong countries have strong roots. If you or I move to Ukraine, China or pick another country… we have no connection to the country we are in. I don’t care that someone else’s family fought in some war I never heard of or was even part of a military I don’t have a country I have no connection to. Personally I have lived in 5 different states and been to about all of them on travel or to visit. I live in Granger because this is my home (Elkhart). I’m proud of where I come from.

With that said so are these people fleeing these other countries. People aren’t moving to Elkhart for the weather… they are moving because that is where the factories are, jobs. You get two illegal parents coming to the US they will find a way to work. Often times they find or buy someone else’s documentation to work under. They are also grabbing benefits as an illegal under their own name. These people… right/wrong… are survivalists not loyalists. I have seen a lot of these fresh from across the border military aged people immediately find a recruiter and join the Army Guard… with the promise of expedited paperwork and citizenship and all the benefits that come with military. These guys with zero roots and zero loyalty to the country besides the promise of beneifts are joining up in droves… it’s like military NIL lol. I have seen people that have never stepped foot in the US trying to join the military and boot camp is their first step on American soil.

I’ll just say without saying too much but if there ever was a WW3 the worry is not an outside attack but one from within. Imagine moving to another country… joining their military for the benefits and then “oh hey, that country you lived in your whole life… we just declared war on them, here is a rifle”

You're not illiterate, just not understanding of rate stats. I don't even get the point you're making in the second paragraph. You're using a sample size of 100 people and then saying "skewed to each end of the curve"...so this means?

I am not naive, at all. If the fears you speak of were true, would we not see this reflected in the data? If these illegal immigrants were causing crime would we not seem them being convicted at higher rates than naturally born citizens? I think you have incredible faith in these countries to open their prisons and create this elaborate logistical feat to send their societies undesirables on this voyage to do....what? Cause crime? We already know they don't do that at incredible rates. So these criminals from Southern American countries are spies, ok if we accept that position - what intel are they gathering? Even before you get to that, these criminals from some shitass prison in Venezuela are going to be reporting back to their handler and somehow evade the FBI/CIA? Even the “good ones” are swiping people’s info to just work under a name to work. That’s a huge problem.
