My hope is they'll stop wasting their time with kids from Mississippi and similar states. The juice isn't worth the squeeze with these recruits.

If Hawkins commits to ND, that would be his third verbal.

His numbers at San Antonio Johnson HS were absolutely insane. He's listed at six feet tall but STF what. A Texas HS QB? Sign me up.

SMU has some four star guys in their class, most of them local Dallas kids, and they have some NIL money going around. It'll be interesting. I'm inclined to like Baker a bit more because of his size, but Hawkins numbers really pop off the page.

Hawkins would be my choice as well, but they need a body regardless. Hopefully the staff has seen the writing on the wall for a while now and have a plan.
