Exactly, my biggest concern is if Carr wins the job and Angeli and Minchey jumps ship that leaves us with no backup.
If you trust O'Malley on this topic, Carr is almost definitely winning the job. Maybe Angeli sticks around but I doubt Minchey does. Maybe ND can just find a warm body from the portal that wants an ND grad degree and is willing to sit on the bench.

So if we pick and choose which ones are what your point doesn't work because then we have 5 stars. William black is the number 2 player in the country per on3

When does Angeli graduate? Could see him sticking around for his degree.
Though I guess he came in January of 22? So if he's on the 3.5-year plan like a lot of them he'd graduate before next season. And he only has two years of eligibility after this one.
So, yeah, Buchner it is.

Honestly I think if Carr gets the nod and you lose your "veteran" guys, AND you somehow got Deuce on campus for a semester, you have to do everything you possibly can to get Deuce ready as the backup. Keeping him one play from being on the field (and maybe even giving him some cliche change-of-pace packages) might keep him around.

In '26?? Arch will be the starter in '25 and maybe for a good bit of this year.
Correct. Arch is 100% starting in 25. 26 would be the question as to whether Deuce would even have an option to get on the field. If Arch is there he will not.

Not picking on you, but that sentence has been posted in this thread every week, for what seems like forever.
And the future is next years class, because there’s always at least one.

The moderator on Auburns site did confirm that Auburn has been paying Deuce for every trip he made to campus. Said he was not going to put a dollar figure on how much though.

Also said JuJu was on campus during the week last week and it's been hush hush. Staff didn't want it out in public

I can only assume that ND was paying him for every visit as well, considering the numerous times he visited.

I don't know what ND pays per visit. However the reporting everywhere (ND and Auburn side) is that the money is basically a wash for him either way.

I actually believe NDs compensation was more overall, but wasn't up front like Auburns is.
Yeah I think that is probably right. But my point is just that I don't think his decision will be about money. It's more about location and opportunity I think.

This is what ISD keeps repeating. If he flips, it will not be about money.

I know it happens at most programs, but it really is a bad look for MF to get clowned like this year after year.
It's a tradition, and you can always pick out the player who will do it each cycle. Weird thing is Marcus apparently can't do that.

Another update from the Auburn site
After speaking with sources at Auburn this morning, I believe Deuce will visit Ole Miss and ND again before making a decision. Auburn will not wait on him anymore and will begin pursuing other targets. He can flip anytime he wants but that does not appear to be happening this week.

Things with Juju are moving quickly, but USC and Indiana will not let him go easily. I will keep everyone up to date as much as I can.

The whole women thing - there are attractive girls on every campus in America. I'm sure ND has a good percentage of "baddies" as they are called nowadays.

DK would be able to unsheathe his sword just as much in South Bend as he could at Auburn.

Plus, the dude will be busy at ND. Tons of classwork, practice, film study, weights.... it's not like his calendar is free 24/7 to chase around the local talent.
