This isn't really an option. They could have a phone call but the staff can't publicly distance themselves from a prospect. The services wait on the player to make an announcement. Plenty of things could've already been shared and it sounds like the staff are already hitting the trail to pivot.

Find it odd we are into Thursday no announcement yet and ND hasn't sent out any new offers. He did post a picture of Riley Lenard interview on his social.

I’d stop worrying about it and treat him as an uncommitted player. He obviously likes Notre Dame, Freeman, Denbrock and Gino. That said, it has certain obstacles and he’s got outside influences persuading his decision. No big deal. It happens. I only wish Deuce (and every other recruit out there) wouldn’t “commit” until they are fully invested and ready to sign. That’s my biggest issue. Kids (coaches too) won’t honor the “commitment.” If Deuce hadn’t previously committed to Notre Dame, this wouldn’t be that big of a deal.

Seen a rumor on 247 that ND was trying to get him back for Louisville game. Loy never responded back to the poster.

The staff is in a really tough position IMO. Seems like you're always playing this game of chicken with recruits on whether they will actually stick in the class or not.

Let him go to Auburn and get reps, like another poster said....with the portal he could be a '26 commit. If his relationship with Freeman is good, and if ND does what they should, no reason he can't transfer in bigger and stronger down the road. With the portal and the way ND looks and has been getting their guys, I've never been more nonchalant about recruiting than I am as I type this.
