I enjoyed re-watching the game. The most noticeable thing to me was how much control of the game the secondary had. I cant recall the last time we saw a secondary unit dictate a game.
After re-watching the game, my big takeaway is that ND should've won by more. I bet on ND moneyline and the over. There were multiple times where guys didn't read a block correctly or Leonard not getting that pass to Ford that, imo, would've resulted in at least one or two more TDs. I'm not remotely worried about the offense. What's scary is that this defense might be better than last year. My goodness. Great win.
Does anyone have a copy of the game recording that they are willing to share?

I missed significant portions being at a groom’s dinner

Just watched the usc lsu game. Herbstriet was being such a tool referencing the Beaux Collins shove that "definitely should've been a penalty". With absolutely no mention of the atrocious replay call, or the officials. It's almost hilarious how pissed they are that nd won.

Did anyone else see how the ESPN college football wrap up crew just shit all over the rest of our schedule, saying it was pretty weak as soon as we won last night. We take on a raked SEC team at their house for week one, come out with a win, and that's all they talk about. RIDICULOUS!!!!!
You cant call out ND's schedule without throwing shade on the ACC in general.

If Miami wins the ACC, will anyone say that they dont deserve a Top 4 spot? They play their conference schedule, one crap SEC team and a bunch of nobodies. ND plays the ACC teams as well as a better SEC team and USC.

Reminder that Miami opted out of game with ND this year.

Go back and watch the game at the 3:38:42 mark. I know this stuff happens all the time but TAMU took their shots as well and didn't get flagged. You headbutt a guy, it's almost an auto-flag

There was more than enough dancing, gyrating, yapping and clowning going on all weekend over the course of several games I saw.

Make no mistake, either, The U is absolutely back in this regard.

Let me put the Beaux push to rest. The ref saw Beaux's reaction and Lee (A&M DB) had been chirping all game. The ref did right not throwing the flag because of the situation and stakes. Had Lee retaliated, he would have drawn a flag. You see things like this all the time in marquee games with players talking shit and being confrontational. So many times teams have done this to ND and basically punked them, especially when ND is on the road, and ND players just take it. I ABSOLUTELY LOVED HIM doing what he did. If he drew a flag it would have been 1st and 10 at the 35. Not 1st and 25 since it was a dead ball. After he made that play, the sidelines and team adopted that energy and it lead to the win. The coaches spoke to him on the sideline. So no need to shit on the kid for a hypothetical that did not happen. From Freeman in the tunnel, to Beaux confronting Lee after Mossing him, to Love asking the A&M crowd "Fuck Wrong with You?" after the TD. I loved it all.
Nope...you aren't going to be able to church up leaving a 15 yrd penalty for pushing someone in the back to the ref. Doesn't even matter if it would be a bad call, it's a justified penalty and Collins was fortunate the ref left the flag in his pocket.

One thing is holding a player accountable for his actions, the other is bitching about the refs. I hope the coaches drove home how fucking stupid that was and how if there is a right moment....that sure wasn't it.

Just watched the last six minutes again. Sneaky good play was the 3rd and 5 early in our touchdown drive where Leonard motions Greathouse into a mismatch with a LB and hits him on a six-yard out.

And then the TD run where we came out double tight ends and they put NINE guys in the box and once Love squirted through the line there was no one to stop him. Hell of a run.

Glad the ref who was standing right there, didn't see it this way. Again, no need to bitch about a hypothetical that didn't happen. Also, like I previously stated... Mike Brown spoke to him on the sideline...so you can sleep easy tonight

Again...stop churching it up.
I'm not talking about a hypothetical, I'm talking about a player making a very bad decision. Collins pushed a guy in the back after the play, in front of a ref. That happened and it was stoopid.

The hypothetical is the "flag" which your churching up, not the push. You're riled up about a possible outcome that did not occur. Hindsight is suppose to be 20/20. He addressed it publicly, he was spoken to by the coaches, so again no need to share your unwarranted opinion.

It can still be a dumb play though with discussion. It deserved a flag regardless of how much shit talking went on. Were lucky it didn't. I screamed at the TV when it happened.. just know the situation and the magnitude of the moment next time

I was watching with my (young) sons and pointing out that A&M had nine in the box and we weren't going to be able to run on that. Man it felt great to be wrong!

Not only were all five of those wrong, they were not even close to hitting. Aggie fans and writers have incredibly high opinions of their team
They were really quite taken with their DL vs. our OL. Also "absolute gunslinger" is not the impression I came away with about their QB.

Agreed 100%. I actually yelled out loud when I saw him push him. My initial reaction to it was "he's going to get a flag."

Then again, multiple crews all around the country this past weekend let a lot of stuff go. Just not on LSU, evidently. LOL
