Welcome back to another season of prediction polls, where I will track our correct predictions and update/post standings each week, along with the following week's poll.

I know we are all excited for another season of Irish football. Feel free to drop a prediction and share your thoughts on why.

Congrats to our co-champions from 2023's prediction series: @General Colon Bowel, @INLaw, @JJRyan, @Fbolt & @SeekNDestroy, who each ended up with four correct predictions.

Best of luck this year.

Go Irish! Beat Aggies!

I've been back and fourth all week. I think this game is going to be lower scoring than some pundits realize, with the strength of both teams seemingly being their defenses, going up against question marks on the OL for both sides.

I don't see A&M blowing out ND and running them off of the field. If ND's OL plays better than people think they will be capable of with the youngsters on the left side, I could see ND pulling away in the second half.

All of that being said, I think ND will find a way to win by one score, but I'll be hammering the under on this one.

ND 21, TA&M 17

I’ve thought about this game a lot. I trust Denbrock and Leonard to keep the offense on, or ahead of, schedule on first and second down. That’ll be the biggest key, imo. When you start getting into 3rd and long, that’s when things can get weird. Get the ball into the hands of Love, Faison, etc with their momentum headed forward.

I have a hard time seeing how A&M moves the ball on offense. I think Mills and Cross can bring a whole bunch of pressure up the middle. That’ll collapse the pocket and allow Golden to drop 6-8 guys into coverage. I’m excited to see the blitz packages against, what sounds like, an uncertain OL.

As always, turnovers can kill a team. If ND can take care of the ball, they SHOULD in. I think they have the advantage in most areas.

ND: 24
A&M: 13

I truly think this is the key for both teams; who can create sustained pressures throughout the evening without needing to send extra men for the pass rush?

Middle pressure is devastating for an offense. It's never ideal to deal with, but at least we have the more athletic QB who can extend plays. I have a feeling RL will be running around a bit, but he's proven to make plays off schedule.

I have concerns about our O-Line, and I'll need to actually see our WR's play well against a tough opponent and Freeman to win a road game in a tough environment until I predict them to win these type of games. I really hope I'm wrong.

I think A&M wins a low-scoring game here. I'm very excited about the future potential of this young OL, but I think they're going to struggle badly in this one.

27-13 Irish. The offense moves the ball consistently, the defense settles in and makes key stops on deep A&M drives. The Irish have answers for the Aggie playmakers, the Aggies don’t. Both defensive lines win the day but not so egregiously that it shuts down the offense.

The 46.5 under is as stone cold of a lock as Shedur Sanders over 305 yards passing was this week. First one to twenty wins - wouldn't be surprised if nobody got there though.

I just think 6 starts total amongst the OL isn't going to cut it at this level. aTm has the reigning B1G sack leader lined up across from Knapp. In that environment, I'm expecting a lot of false starts, holding calls and whiffs which unfortunately would mean a loss, even if the Aggies don't do a whole lot, either.

I'm glad they have a few weeks before UL and GaTech, though.

I take some level of solace in the fact that they could've made the "easier" decision to go with the more proven veterans in Rocco and Baker, but they opted for the youngsters for SOME reason, despite the obvious challenges of the road environment.

ND channels their inner 2023 Hawkeyes as Thor leads us to and 8-6 victory.

My parlay boosts are all ND under 46.5, ND ML or +3 and LSU ML. If we win under 46.5 I will be doing a lot of hedging on USC but I do think BK has their number.

Had to laugh at the 12 game predictions on ISD (which are free BTW). All six guys pick us to go 11-1, with 5 different choices for the loss. Amazingly neither FSU or USC are anybody's loss. Only Mike Frank has us losing to TA&M.

I'd rather lose this weekend than that scenario.

If we rattle off 11 wins to close out the season, we have a shot at the 5 or 6 seed and a home playoff game. If we end up at the 8 seed, were on the road against a much tougher opponent.
I think an 8 seed would still have a home game against the 9 seed, but I agree with your premise. Would be much better to drop a game early instead of late.

Agree, if we will lose one, then lose the TAMU one
the let recency bias work in our favor

Did these OL questions exist before Jagusah got hurt? He would’ve made it a whopping 7 combined career starts. I think the OL talk is becoming way overblown.

Are you asking if I thought there was a difference between 6 starts or 7 starts?

Gimme a break.
