Rewatching Yellowstone since the final episodes come out in a couple months. I’ve also been told my family reminds others of the Duttons and I’m really starting to see it.

Didn't Costner back out of the final episodes of the series, i.e. he's not even going to be in the new episodes? That really puts a damper on the final season for me. Not sure if I want to revisit the show if that's the case.

Thats the news currently. There has been recent talk of him showing up in the show now since his movie was a flop and he lost a lot of money.

Final episodes of yellowstone comes out in Nov. Too late to get Costner in
It's still kinda wild to me that his star was shooting to the moon in the late 80s/early 90s, then his career almost died after Waterworld in 1995. 17 years later he basically mounts a comeback with a History Channel short TV series Hatfields and McCoys, and since then he's been back on track.

I read a while back he probably wouldn't participate because of his schedule. He's the straw that stirs the drink, so it will be weird.

I just watched Rudy again (yearly pre-season watch) and it was the first time I had ever watched the extended edition.

Really fucking weird scene at Corby’s where Rudy tries to brag to Mary by introducing her to Vince Vaughn and then Vince steals his girl. Also a bunch of other scenes with Mary where it sort of makes more narrative sense between the “you’re not a Notre Dame Student” and the “Don’t I know you?” Scene three years later

That's just Vince Vaughn being Vince Vaughn. He wasn't acting during that take.

Wife and I started watching Horizon. I hope Kostner finishes the series because there is a lot going on.

I thought there was a little too much going on. Jumped around and was a bit confusing
I liked it but I read enough going into it to realize this movie was just going to be character set up.
The second chapter comes out in a couple weeks.

I started watching For All Mankind last week. Not really science fiction. More of an alternative history of the US space program and what it might have become if we'd built a permanent base on the moon and pushed for Mars. A couple of the characters are a little too stereotypical, but overall a good watch. Four seasons out so far, the fifth is in production, and the producers say they want to do about seven. I'm almost through season 2.

Netflix, A Man In Full with Jeff Bridges. Limited six part series. Not great, but not bad. Diane Lane is still good looking at 59.

American Godfathers on History channel. Three part series. I'm on #2. Chronicles how the mafia began and how they operated. Even with all of the mafia documentaries, this provides quit a bit of new info. If you like mafia stuff, you'll like this.

For a 3 hour movie, it moved fast.
Like 4 different plots happening all at once. Ends with a bunch of nothing. I’m sure it’ll all come together eventually.

Pretty cool though watching it at the theater. A lot of nice background that I don’t think a TV would do justice.

Just started watching the Wyatt Earp and The Cowboy War docudrama on Netflix. Basic western history but entertaining

I'm like 8 years late to the party, but "Detroiters" on Paramount+ is hilarious. Tim Robinson and Sam Richardson are comedy gold.

I can see why it got canceled after two years; it was a pretty bold strategy to make a Comedy Central show based around a (especially then) declining market, and there are a lot of very specific inside jokes pertaining to Detroit. Detroit in 2017 was a city still very much on the comeback.

However, even if there are a few inside jokes that go over viewers' heads, it's still just so funny. I think people who like "I Think You Should Leave" would really enjoy these two seasons.
