This is true. Rampant cheating aside, Michigan was able to overcome multiple key departures on the OL, namely All-American Olusegun Oluwatimi at center and starting LT Ryan Hayes, and then had to overcome the injury of Zak Zinter, arguably the best player on their offense.
They fielded a group with some studs like Trevor Keegan, but guys like LeDarius Henderson and Drake Nugent were hardly considered great players. Nugent and Myles Hinton were getting their asses kicked at Stanford. They ended up being key lynchpins in their OL.
At some point, you need guys to answer the call and have the light turn on. Whether it's Baker or Knapp or Lambert, somebody has to answer the call. No excuses.

Did specifically say Landow? It could easily be the doctors or the training staff.
We have no idea what Landow will do.
My personal opinion is the players have to much year around training and their bodies are wearing down.

I said Landow because I don't think any of us can really point to someone on the training staff they know of, you have assessed them as having more injuries than average so I figured you were pointing to Landow.

If we see a run of muscle/shoulder injuries in a short time, then maybe there’s something to it.
But a torn pec during a drill is likely just a freak accident where he overextended and put too much strain on a fully open/exposed shoulder for some reason.
If it happened in the weight room, then I’d be more concerned, as odd as that may seem.
Anybody else think Jagusah might never see the OT position again at ND? Like Absher I think they can be very good OT but could be special OG.
He's a talent but Lambert is an equal talent if not slightly better and then is Will Black coming in next year and even if Lambert doesn't play this season Jagusah will only have 1 game on him and Will Black.

Between Lambert and Knapp, you have two bonafide studs in the making at tackle. Don't know if either will be ready to roll like Alt was as a freshman. That said, I don't know if anyone thought Alt was either.

practice video today has Tosh at LT with the 1s. Not shocking. I think there's players that will be better than him hopefully soon, but not ready for A&M.

if you listen to some of the ND beat you'd have thought Chan was about to be run out of town in the offseason, now hes one snap away from being the starting LT
I read Knapp is the backup, per II.

It's not easy to predict the 3 deep, but it should be simple to see who gets reps and where.
