Now, it will be better in the sense that ND won’t have to “process” guys, but if they’re too injured to play and/or simply not good enough then it’s also a moot point.
I would like to see guys like Tanona not have to medically retire.

Continuing to go after Meadows & I hope ND still pursues Robinson and Hall at WR.

Going to 105 players makes 0 sense.....the NCAA continues to shoot themselves in the foot.

He could get better?

He's playing right now.
Right. I get that but you’ll still see players medically retire from teams because that specific school’s medical team won’t clear them. I’m not really sure if he’s that much better though. I haven’t read up or heard much of his situation since his departure.

So disappointing that there is zero news about recruiting while I keep seeing other teams raking in the recruits.

That’s what happens when you take about 5-7 average recruits very early in the cycle. Nd doesn’t have much left when all the top teams are working on the top players.

Active and going into his first season with Purdue.

He's the kid that came to mind when scholarships and med retirements came up. It felt like ND keep the door open for him, until they couldn't because the had to get down to 85. Adding 20 more scholarships, leads me to believe/hope that teams can keep long-term injured players on football scholarship to give them the time to comeback, or truly retire.

Bud Elliott brought up a good point that this will be good for hs kids. Can take a bit more flyer on OL who may need 2 years in weight room but have some skills. If they can’t add size…bye

So since it appears that CFB will go from 85 to 105 scholarship players, the staff should probably offer Andrew Babalola, right? 5* OL who truly care about academics (appears to be trending to Stanford) don’t grow on trees.
I don't understand the point of this. It's just another benefit for the bigger programs to enjoy in an environment that is already more beneficial to them that ever before. It's horrible for G5 and FCS schools, and things are tough enough for them now as it is.

Yeah I saw. The NIL bag for him is going to be huge. Oh well.

But he said threads...so who else is he hinting at?
A former silent commit, who was all but done, before we decided to stop recruiting in the open period, is open again.

Kinda bummed the only guys I am excited about in this class are black, burgess, golden, and Blair. Not one to usually post about disappointment but this was suppose to be the year we cashed in recruiting wise.

I would add Dixon and Flanigan… but I agree this class is looking very disappointing compared to what we expected to have. There’s about 7 head scratchers in this class that we took really early in the process, and haven’t recruited some studs to complement, that’s even higher than Kelly classes.

Matty Augustine and Owen Strebig have big time upside as well. They were top of the board guys along with Black and Lange. Zackary is elite. Reiff, Sacca, Long, and Hulak all have great traits. I’m not so bummed, we just need to round out the class properly at all positions
