I guess it's the comprehension that you missed.

Since you missed it and for clarification. You don't have to go to a GJ to get an indictment, but it is an easier path. That was my point. Nothing more, nothing less.

And as I have posted before, yet you seem to forget, Trump was found guilty. I don't have a problem accepting the verdict.
No, I'm comprehending quite well.

Unless you have a different version of the NY constitution than what the New York state does, I think it's pretty clear to most people.

No person shall be held to answer for a capital or otherwise infamous crime (except in cases of impeachment, and in cases of militia when in actual service, and the land, air and naval forces in time of war, or which this state may keep with the consent of congress in time of peace, and in cases of petit larceny under the regulation of the legislature), unless on indictment of a grand jury

So, do you still think we're the ones not comprehending?

Except that that is wrong. Some states don’t even have it or they require it for certain types of crimes. Not sure why this is so hard.

What I truly don’t get is the need to respond using the Ham sandwich canard to seemingly call into question the legal proceedings if you in fact do accept the results of the trial haha.

Yeah, dude was there to kill a firefighter that budged him in line at the supermarket earlier in the day and Trump just happened to be there. Wrong place, wrong time. Damn, glad we solved this case.

If it was shrapnel, what do they think the bullet hit to produce the shrapnel or to fragment? We've already been told that none of the teleprompters were hit. There have been no reports of anything else nearby that was hit and could've produced a bullet fragment or shrapnel.

Honestly, does it really matter if it was a bullet or shrapnel? The attempt was made and the fact that the attempt got as far along in the process as it did, is far and away the more important issue at this point. A bullet sure as shit hit those people. WTF does it even matter what was or wasn't that hit Trump? More emphasis on how in the hell that kid got on that roof with a gun and less emphasis on whether it was a bullet or glass or shrapnel hit Trump, please and thank you.

It matters for the very reason everyone is here… to be right.

Radical leftist endorses Harris!

Apparently youngish JD Vance and extreme woke mind virus people aren’t the only ones who view Trump as a threat to Democracy. So weird.

I’m thinking Harris has a good shot at winning Georgia.

34% of voters in Georgia are black.Trump will need to find a hella lot more than 11482 votes this time. Harris is polling 8 points higher for blacks in Georgia and 6 points higher for Hispanics than Biden did.

Biden won because of the vote against Trump. I honestly think Kamala wins for the same reason. Trump was a one hit wonder underdog story in regard to President. I think Kamala wins easily. Besides being shot and besides running against Biden, Trump has done nothing to help himself. Picking Vance was the nail in the coffin because he should have known Biden wasn’t making it to the finish line and Vance strategically does nothing positive.

I don’t get how generally intelligent and good people defend this piece of shit grifter and want him to take his grift to the WH again and full immunity.
You might wanna consider others' motivations that are beyond Trump's legal issues:

the southern border being neglected by this admin
gas prices were as high as $5 per gallon
40 year high of inflation

All in the past 3 years.

We have the best economy in the world. Inflation is lowest of all industrialized countries, Biden kept oil prices down by releasing strategic reserve to drive prices down then bought back oil at a lower price making massive profit for the country and fingering OPEC at the same time. Without immigrants you don’t get your food in the stores. We have had this discussion before and I’m not rehashing it. Immigrants are a net positive for the country. Trump isn’t doing any of this. 😂 he couldn’t even get Mexico to pay for the wall or give us infrastructure week. Biden haves us infrastructure week, Chips act, capped insulin prices, I could go on but it doesn’t matter. NATO has expanded, Russia is being drained for all it’s worth.

Go vote for the rapist felon and fret over the Great Replacement theory. Biden has done more good in three years than anyone expected and he has been much better president on the global stage than Trump ever will.

No motivations will ever lead me to accept a convicted rapists felon grifter as a leader for our country. A clear criminal with history of documented criminal behavior is unacceptable. I don’t know how people got to the point of convincing themselves otherwise. Gross.

In any other election 25% of the voters in your party wanting you to drop out would be an absolute death sentence. Trump just looked better in comparison to Biden’s 65%. Now that Joe is gone it could be the end for Trump.

I think more than anything people are just sick of the noise.

Biden sent a republican written bill to the floor to solve the border crisis. Trump made sure it failed because he didn’t want Joe to have a win on something he wanted to run on.

My apologies to you and Toronto. I don't have time to read NY penal code and assumed they had the option to go to a GJ or have a Preliminary Hearing. This actually made it easier for the prosecutor given GJ's give the green light close to 100% of the time.

That's like saying Moe is the best looking of The Three Stooges. It might be true, but it's not something to brag about. The three things that are the most important to most are the price of groceries, the price of gas and interest rate for home loans. Those haven't been palatable for a while and they aren't looking good at the moment. No one is against immigrants coming to the U.S. What they're against is immigrants coming in illegally.

Wasn't there a lot of pork in the bill that the Dems refused to remove, thus the vote against?

We need to pass a law that requires bills to only address the main purpose of the bill. No pork or extras.

That's about as likely as getting them to pass a bill for term limits... and for the same reason.

if true, shouldn’t Biden be a shoo-in for re-election instead of being a quitter for the “good of democracy”? He should win in a landslide similar to Reagan ‘84 based on your claims. We know he’s not stepping aside due to his mental incapacities/’sundowners’ b/c that would be admitting he’s also not fit to serve out his term.

The man is clearly incapable of holding that office, and now that the Mainstream media has finished patting themselves on the back for doing the DNCs bidding by turning up the pressure on Biden to drop out of the race, they are too busy returning to the Obama era fawning news coverage of Kamala to actually question who the fuck is running our country right now. It is incredibly dangerous to have a President for only 6 hours a day at best, and somehow everyone on the left is just okay with that. I honestly don't know how anybody can honestly have watched that debate and say "Yeah that guy is currently has the mental faculties to be the president"

Yeah. That’s a pretty inaccurate assessment.

I mean Mitch McConnell supported it initially and it was a bipartisan compromise. That’s typically how things move forward and what most voters would like to see. The Democrats damn near bent over backwards to get this teed up for a vote.

If I’m remembering correctly the “too much pork” canard became a talking point once Trump weighed in. After that it unraveled pretty quickly.

Probably elements of truth to both posts.

Any significant bill that Congress passes is loaded with a ton of pork. It's bullshit. But it is what it is.

Some Republicans probably initially viewed the amount of pork that it was loaded with to be acceptable to still support. Then when Trump basically pressured Republicans to not pass, suddenly they were concerned about the pork.

Everyone on the “left” isn’t ok with all that. That’s why Biden is out. The dude is declining and effectively announced his retirement. Was it forced? Yes. Frankly I think that’s a good thing. I will say that Biden seems as fit for office as Reagan was at this point in Reagan’s second term. So all things being equal, things will be fine.

You just seem mad that the GOP seems to have saddled themselves with such a shitty candidate.

As an aside, if Harris wins it will be the greatest rope a dope in the history of US politics.

He dropped out of the race because he doesn't think he can win in November, not because he thinks he's a vegetable. There's no way of forcing him out of office other than the 25th. Do you really think republicans in congress are going to allow Kamala to be president for 6 months?
