And if it did cha he their mind and the staff was on vacation… not sure if the expectation is staff stopping it somehow. The chats were going to happen either way.

Staffs all the time talk recruits out of taking other visits and accepting other coach calls/zooms.

Our recruits were probably getting new pitches/offers and ND wasn't there to counter (if all of this was true).

But a strategy around dead periods is created in advance...... not rocket science. I don't have inside info on how all the vacations went down other than it was obvious our staff was on vacation.

I get it, you have to book an Alaskan glacier cruise FARRRR in advance. Dead period may have moved, and freeman didn't want to pay the change fee.

Maybe, but it’s not a simple as that. Sure, anyone who has ever been recruited for anything has experienced pitch pressure, but few are actually persuaded unless they want to be persuaded. If kids are taking calls and visits after an OV to ND it’s because they are still open to being sold something different. This is not a case where ND coaches failed to “close”.

I'm picturing a scenario where a lot of these recruits are getting new offers and ND coaches aren't even aware since they are on vacation and not in as constant of communication as normal. It sounds like it's pretty true that the staff is in recovery mode right now. It seems like (from the outside), ND coaching staff went into the vacation over confident.

Loy posted on the USC board that he's close to CBing Hines there.

Also mentioned in the thread that he expects Juju Lewis to decommit but doesn't expect Auburn to be the landing spot. He says Auburn had pivoted to two other QBs, one being Deuce Knight

Evidently it’s a ridiculous amount the kid can’t turn down, upfront.
ND is very competitive in NIL, but they aren’t giving upfront ridiculous amounts to kids they don’t think are worth it.
USC has lost 2 5 Stars & a couple high 4 Stars, & are about to lose another, so they are just straight buying players now. They are giving low 4 Star players 5 Star player money, because the 5 Stars all decommitted.
They tried buying Faraimo too. Hasn’t worked so far with him. And ND would be willing to give him more, but not Hines.

You learn as a DC but now he’s learning as a HC. Just because you can make a steak at Texas Rosdhouse doesn’t mean you are capable of owning a steak restaurant.

Funny enough, we actually put out a beef cheek poutine a few weeks ago as a quick special. Truffle aioli, tossed the frites in a light rosemary oil, shaved pecorino to finish.

Shit was good but heavy. Canadians don’t mind.

If USC is giving out "stupid money" upfront, I don't blame the kid for taking it.

He is referring to ND now paying players at the elite level. Not a secret.
And he doesn’t know anything, he just reads all the forums, then tweets out the premium info.
