Pretty sure you don’t need a teaching certificate in Illinois. Robby Gould, former Bear kicker, was just hired to be head coach of Rolling Meadows high school in Illinois (Chicago suburb). I’m pretty sure he doesn’t have a teaching certificate.

Comfirmed...my buddy is a soccer coach at Taft, and he is a Chicago cop.

Depends on the state. In Indiana you have to have a teaching license to be the head football or basketball coach from my understanding. Not sure about Alabama.
Rush Probst leads me to believe that they have zero fucks to give about a HS varsity football coach having a teaching license in Alabama.

Call it an irresponsible assumption on my part.

If you can win football games in Alabama they’ll give you a license for whatever the fuck you want

What, they couldn't pay Garoppolo enough to retire and take over?

No, but they forced out the head coach who and took away his teaching job (obviously wasn't tenured) in the process to give a former NFL kicker with a net worth of $22 million their head coaching job.

I know people who teach and coach in that district. This has been in the works. It's a shit show. On top of it, Gould lives in Inverness, so his kids won't even attend RM. They'll attend Fremd.

You must be a certified teacher in Alabama according to the Alabama High School Athletic Association. I found that a bit shocking because… well Alabama.

As far as G. Rivers… seems like he will be pretty good if he keeps developing.

Pops must have his recruitment on lockdown. He doesn't have a Twitter recruiting profile, no one is reporting an offer, nobody's reporting a visit.

Boring.

Y'all really don't realize there's a large and strong Catholic group at Baylor. Another alternative would be A&M that's I heard roughly 1/4 Catholic

I think Arkansas or USC. So he can evangelize. I’m Catholic and would tell the heathens how to screw and get 11 kids. No need to preach to the choir.

22.8% Hispanic/Latino. High yield in that population. 51.7% white. Wouldn't need many in the white population to get to 25%.
You would be surprised how many Hispanics are part of the Jehovah Witness church in the South.

My family and I stopped at Chick-fil A last Friday on our way out of town. Went in to pick up our order and saw a family sitting there eating. I said to my wife, dang that's a lot of kids to feed. Looked at the Dad and did a double take. It was Phillip Rivers and his family. Gunner is a huge kid, skinny, but very tall. Told my son, there is one of the best QBs of the modern era and hell of a trash talker.
